The Turn of the Tide is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission where you decide who to support in the Arkonian revolution. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 105 to complete. You meet Kang in Ja’Corash, reach the battle in Somraw and then side with the rebels or the loyalists. Both sides pay 600 Klingon Credits and 216,000 Klingon Points and cost 283,392 Romulan Points; siding with the rebels adds 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens, siding with the loyalists adds 600. The choice also decides which mission comes next.
The Turn of the Tide objectives
The mission opens with two shared steps, then asks you to choose who to side with:
- Meet with Kang. Location: Ja’Corash.
- Reach the battle. Location: Somraw.
- Choose who to side with.
Klingon path: fight the loyalists
- Defeat the Loyalist Battleship. Location: Somraw. Enemy strength is about 1,969,977.
- Defeat the Loyalist Interceptor. Location: Somraw. Enemy strength is about 1,969,977.
- Go to the rebel base. Location: Maht-H’A.
Rewards for the Klingon path: 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens, 600 Klingon Credits, 216,000 Klingon Points and -283,392 Romulan Points.
Path 2: fight the rebels
- Defeat 12 hostiles of level 41 or higher.
- Defeat the Rebel Explorer. Location: Maht-H’A. Enemy strength is about 1,950,820.
- Go to the loyalist base. Location: B’Oh.
Rewards for Path 2: 600 Klingon Recruit Tokens, 600 Klingon Credits, 216,000 Klingon Points and -283,392 Romulan Points.
Where and what warp
You can accept the mission at warp 1, but it needs warp 105 to finish. The Klingon path stays between Somraw and Maht-H’A. Path 2 runs through Maht-H’A and ends at B’Oh.
The game lists a recommended level of 1, which is not a real guide for a mission at warp 105. The fights near 2 million strength and, on Path 2, the 12 hostiles of level 41 or higher show where it actually sits.

The negative Romulan Points figure is a loss on both paths.
Where each path leads
The choice changes the next mission as well as the fights. The Klingon path unlocks Procurement Specialist, and Path 2 unlocks A Higher Echelon.

Which path to pick
The Klingon path is two named fights and no hostile count, so it is faster if your ship can take two targets near 1.97 million strength back to back. Path 2 has one named fight but adds 12 hostiles of level 41 or higher, and pays 100 more Klingon Recruit Tokens. Look at the follow-up too: Procurement Specialist pays 4★ refined crystal, while A Higher Echelon pays 4★ gas, Explorer parts and more Klingon Points.
Tips
Repair between the two loyalist fights on the Klingon path. They are both in Somraw and listed at the same strength.
If you are building Romulan standing, note that both paths take away 283,392 Romulan Points.
