The Future Catching The Past

The Future Catching The Past is a Mirror storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you take Spock’s Mirror counterpart to Starfleet Security. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 8 to complete. You transport Mirror Spock through Whinnul, destroy an unknown vessel there and then catch him in Bellas before he escapes. The reward is 200 Ultra Recruit Tokens, a generous payout for a short mission with one easy fight.

The Future Catching The Past objectives

There are three objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:

  • Transport Mirror Spock to Starfleet Security. Location: Whinnul.
  • Destroy the unknown vessel. Location: Whinnul. Enemy strength is about 2,935.
  • Catch Mirror Spock before he escapes. Location: Bellas.

The transfer to Starfleet Security runs through Whinnul, where an unknown vessel has to be destroyed. The last step is a chase to Bellas to catch Mirror Spock before he escapes.

Where and what warp

You can accept the mission at warp 1, and it needs warp 8 to complete. Whinnul and Bellas are the two systems.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. The unknown vessel is about 2,935 strength, so an early combat ship that can reach warp 8 is all you need.

The Future Catching The Past rewards

The reward is 200 Ultra Recruit Tokens. Completing the mission unlocks the next one, Interdimensional Fugitive.

The Mirror Spock missions

These three missions follow Mirror Spock from his capture to his return, and all carry a listed level of 1:

Mission Warp to complete What you do Rewards
Jellyfish Smack 7 Find Mirror Spock in Eojur and disable the Jellyfish (about 2,935) 2 Spock shards, 4 2★ Explorer Parts
The Future Catching The Past 8 Transport Mirror Spock, destroy the unknown vessel (about 2,935), catch him in Bellas 200 Ultra Recruit Tokens
Interdimensional Fugitive 5 Report your findings to Captain Kirk in Whinnul 1 James T. Kirk shard

The three are close in warp and difficulty. Jellyfish Smack and Interdimensional Fugitive pay officer shards, while The Future Catching The Past is the one that pays Recruit Tokens.

Tips

Any combat ship will do for the unknown vessel at about 2,935 strength, the same as the Jellyfish in the mission before.

Run all three back to back. They need only warp 5 to 8, and together they pay Spock shards, a James T. Kirk shard and 200 Ultra Recruit Tokens.

Spock is also an officer you can collect. The full storyline is on the Mirror, Mirror arc page.
