The First Flight is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission from the It Came From Deep Space storyline, where you test the subspace technology fitted to a modified D3. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to complete. You meet the D3 in Morska, escort it to Lorillia, jump to Rator to destroy a Suliban Marauder and bring the ship back. The reward is 4 Common Plutonium, 2,700 Dilithium, 50 Klingon Credits and 500 Klingon Points, with a loss of 336 Romulan Points.
The First Flight objectives
There are six objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Meet with the modified D3 in Morska. Location: Morska.
- Escort the D3 to Lorillia. Location: Lorillia.
- Warp to Rator. Location: Rator.
- Destroy the Suliban Marauder. Location: Rator. Enemy strength is about 75,312.
- Make a final run to Lorillia. Location: Lorillia.
- Return the D3 to Morska. Location: Morska.
Most of the mission is a test flight: out to Lorillia, over to Rator, back to Lorillia and home to Morska. The Suliban Marauder in Rator is the only fight.
Where and what warp
You can accept The First Flight at warp 1, and it needs warp 20 to complete. Morska, Lorillia and Rator are the three systems, and you visit Morska and Lorillia twice each.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The Suliban Marauder at about 75,312 strength and the warp 20 range are the real bar.

All three carry a listed level of 1 and the same faction changes: 50 Klingon Credits, 500 Klingon Points and a loss of 336 Romulan Points.

The First Flight has no hostile count, unlike the missions on either side, but its one fight is about twice as strong as the named targets around it.
Tips
Bring a combat ship for Rator. The Suliban Marauder is the only fight, but at about 75,312 strength it is the toughest single target in this stretch of the story.
Budget the travel. Six stops across three systems make this more of a flight than a fight, and the whole route sits within warp 20.
The next mission uses the same D3 and asks for 23 hostiles, so it helps to have a hunting spot at level 20 or higher lined up.
