The Defiant Part 1 is a five-part story chain that sends you into Dominion space to find the missing USS Defiant alongside Dax and Odo. All five parts sit at recommended level 35 and start at Bajor, near Deep Space Nine. The trail runs through the wormhole to Idran and on into Dominion systems like Rakan, Ammaga, Mril, and Ekimuk before circling back to a Cardassian attack at home. Expect warp jumps as far as 40, several Jem’Hadar fights, and payouts that include two Swarm Prime Particles, 1,600 Premium Recruit Tokens, and roughly 8.7 million Tritanium. A worthwhile run once your crew can handle the level 35 combat.

The Defiant Part 1
You meet Dax and Odo to open the search for the missing Defiant, then follow the trail through the wormhole into Dominion territory. This part mixes travel and a repair stop before the first real fight, so it eases you into the chain. The 2M Tritanium repair on Dax’s equipment is the first thing that can hold you up if your warehouse is low.
- Meet with Dax and Odo on Deep Space Nine (Bajor)
- Travel through the wormhole to Idran
- Repair Dax’s equipment with 2M Tritanium
- Enter Dominion space in Rakan
- Defeat the Jem’Hadar vessel in Rakan (enemy strength about 747,676)
Warp to complete: 35. Rewards: 1 Swarm Prime Particle and 4,554,000 Tritanium.
The Defiant Part 2
The hunt shifts to the Ammaga system, where you chip away at Dominion activity while tracking the ship. The middle objective asks you to farm 3,500 Antimatter Units by defeating Jem’Hadar, so this part leans on repeated combat rather than a single fight before the Jem’Hadar First shows up.
- Attempt to track the Defiant in Ammaga
- Collect 3,500 Antimatter Units by defeating Jem’Hadar
- Defeat the Jem’Hadar First in Ammaga (enemy strength about 937,932)
Warp to complete: 35. Rewards: 270 3★ Interceptor Parts, 800 Premium Recruit Tokens, and 1,725,000 Tritanium.
The Defiant Part 3
You close in on the missing crew, catching up with the Defiant itself and patching it back together. This is the longest reach in the chain at warp 40, with the Mril escape fight sitting between the Shipping Port trace and the Ekimuk rendezvous, then a 5M Tritanium repair to finish. It pays out the chain’s only Dilithium.
- Trace the Defiant to the Mril Shipping Port (Mril)
- Escape the Dominion attack in Mril (enemy strength about 902,683)
- Rendezvous with the USS Defiant in Ekimuk
- Repair the Defiant with 5M Tritanium
Warp to complete: 40. Rewards: 870,000 Dilithium and 800 Premium Recruit Tokens.
The Defiant Part 4
With the ship recovered, you push into Jem’Hadar territory and take on their flagships before pulling out. The 10 Dominion Solo Armada Edicts come from defeating Jem’Hadar Flagships, which means solo armada targets rather than roaming hostiles, so this part is the one to prepare for in advance. The warp drops back to 25 once the edicts are in hand.
- Get 10 Dominion Solo Armada Edicts by defeating Jem’Hadar Flagships
- Travel to Idran to leave Dominion space
Warp to complete: 25. Rewards: 5 8-hour speed ups, 190 3★ Interceptor Parts, and 1,173,000 Tritanium.
The Defiant Part 5
The finale turns back toward home, where a Cardassian assault on Deep Space Nine needs answering. It is a short three-objective sprint to Cita Laga and back to Bajor, but the Cardassian ship there is the toughest single target in the chain, so save some repair capacity for the escort leg.
- Hurry to Cita Laga
- Defeat the Cardassian ship in Cita Laga (enemy strength about 1,124,459)
- Escort the Defiant to Deep Space Nine (Bajor)
Warp to complete: 25. Rewards: 1 Swarm Prime Particle and 1,242,000 Tritanium.
Tips for completing The Defiant Part 1
Part 3 has the longest reach at warp 40 and ends with a rendezvous out in Ekimuk, so top off fuel before you start it. Parts 1 and 3 also call for big Tritanium repairs, 2M and 5M, which stall you if your warehouse is low; stockpile Tritanium ahead of time. Part 4 wants 10 Dominion Solo Armada Edicts from Jem’Hadar Flagships, so plan solo armada runs rather than expecting them to drop from regular kills. Nearly every part ends in a fight against Jem’Hadar or Cardassian targets, with enemy strength climbing from roughly 750,000 to over 1.1 million by the last part, so bring a combat crew instead of a mining setup. Warp needs are uneven across the chain: Parts 1 and 2 sit at 35, Part 3 spikes to 40, and Parts 4 and 5 settle back to 25, so the heaviest fuel demand lands in the middle. Everything runs through the wormhole to Idran, which keeps the Dominion systems clustered together and cuts down on backtracking once you are inside.
Are the Defiant Part 1 rewards worth it?
Across the five parts you bank two Swarm Prime Particles, 1,600 Premium Recruit Tokens, 870,000 Dilithium, 460 3★ Interceptor Parts, and roughly 8.7 million Tritanium, plus a handful of 8-hour speed ups. For a level 35 chain that reuses systems you already pass through, that is a strong return, and the Premium Recruit Tokens alone justify clearing it. Run it once your combat crew can hold up against the Jem’Hadar.
