The Cube is a five-part mission chain in which the Ex-Borg ask for help with a top-secret project: a Borg Cube. You help get it running, deal with Romulans who come after it, chase down the thieves, build a Borg Cube of your own and finally defeat the Borg Cube in Rator. Every part is recommended for level 28 and runs from warp 1 to warp 22, based out of the Ex-Borg base in Balrosh. Rewards include 6★ Common Interceptor Parts in the first three parts, 3,100 Latinum and a mix of Parsteel, Tritanium and Dilithium. The fights are light, and the Borg Cube build in Part 4 is the step that decides how fast you finish.

Tips for completing The Cube

Part 4 cannot move past its first objective until you have built a Borg Cube. The Borg Cube ship page covers what that build needs, so check it before you reach Part 4 and start early if you can.

Two resource payments sit in the chain: 450K Tritanium in Part 1 and 90K Dilithium in Part 4. Neither is large at level 28, but the Dilithium one is bigger than the 67,000 Dilithium Part 1 pays back.

The named fights are all between about 100,000 and 200,000 strength, and the final Borg Cube in Part 5 is listed at about 102,720, the weakest of them. The longest combat step is the 15-hostile grind at level 28 or higher that opens Part 5.

Warp stays at 22 for every part, so a ship that can reach Balrosh, Morska, H’Atoria and Rator covers the whole chain.

Are The Cube rewards worth it?

Yes, for a level 28 player. The chain pays 5 6★ Common Interceptor Parts, 3,100 Latinum, 963,000 Parsteel and smaller amounts of Tritanium and Dilithium, all for fights around 200,000 strength and a warp 22 range. The Borg Cube build is the main time cost. For other missions at this level, see the STFC mission guide.
