Sore Loser is a level 13 story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you calm down Bork, who is ranting over subspace about a human who cheated him. You pick it up in Nausicaa and it needs warp 8 to start and to complete. You disable the cheater’s ship in Clytomenes, a fight of about 3,760 strength, then decide what to tell Bork. Both choices pay an Orion Manifest, with either 5,000 Parsteel and 500 Tritanium or 3,000 Parsteel and 30 Premium Recruit Tokens.
Sore Loser objectives
The story line reads: Bork is ranting over the system wide subspace channels, find him and calm him down. The shared objectives come first:
- Find Bork and calm him down. Location: Nausicaa.
- Disable the human cheater’s ship. Location: Clytomenes. Enemy strength about 3,760.
- Decide what to do with the cheater.
Path 1: hand the cheater over
- Return to Bork with the cheater. Location: Nausicaa.
Rewards for Path 1: 5,000 Parsteel, 500 Tritanium and an Orion Manifest.
Path 2: say the cheater escaped
- Tell Bork that the cheater escaped. Location: Nausicaa.
Rewards for Path 2: 3,000 Parsteel, 30 Premium Recruit Tokens and an Orion Manifest.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Nausicaa, and the mission needs warp 8 to start and to complete. You go from Nausicaa to Clytomenes for the fight and back to Nausicaa to finish.
The recommended level is 13. The cheater’s ship at about 3,760 strength is the one fight.
Sore Loser rewards
| Reward | Path 1 | Path 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Parsteel | 5,000 | 3,000 |
| Tritanium | 500 | None |
| Premium Recruit Token | None | 30 |
| Orion Manifest | 1 | 1 |
No next mission is listed as unlocked by Sore Loser.
Choosing what to tell Bork
Both choices end in Nausicaa with the same trip and the same Orion Manifest. Path 1 pays more resources, 2,000 extra Parsteel and 500 Tritanium. Path 2 swaps those for 30 Premium Recruit Tokens.
If you are short on resources for your next upgrade, hand the cheater over. If you are saving recruit tokens for officers, tell Bork he got away.
Tips
Bring a combat ship to Clytomenes. The cheater’s ship is weak at about 3,760 strength, but it is still a fight.
Sonic Boom is also picked up in Nausicaa at warp 8. It is a level 15 mission with no fight that pays 6,500 Parsteel, 1,250 Tritanium and another Orion Manifest, so the two fit together on one trip. Other missions by level are on the mission guide.
