So It Has Come to This is an early story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which a standoff at Deneva forces you to pick a side. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 13 to complete. After investigating Deneva, you choose to back Starfleet, the Klingons or the Romulans; each path has two fights of about 18,000 strength, an escort, and 500 recruit tokens for the faction you helped. Each path also unlocks a different next mission, so this choice shapes where your early story goes.

- Investigate the situation in Deneva. Location: Deneva.
- Pick a side.
Path 1: side with Starfleet
- Defeat the Klingon D4. Location: Deneva. Enemy strength about 18,405.
- Defeat the IRW Magnifica. Location: Deneva. Enemy strength about 17,801.
- Escort the Starfleet vessel back to Lorillia. Location: Lorillia.
- Return the data to your Station.
Rewards for Path 1: 500 Federation Recruit Tokens, 15 Federation Credits and 240 Federation Points, with a loss of 156 Klingon Points. This path unlocks To Seek Out New Life Forms.
Path 2: side with the Klingons
- Defeat the IRW Magnifica. Location: Deneva. Enemy strength about 17,801.
- Defeat the USS Everest. Location: Deneva. Enemy strength about 17,996.
- Escort the D4 back to Krah’Hor. Location: Krah’Hor.
- Return the data to your Station.
Rewards for Path 2: 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens, 15 Klingon Credits and 240 Klingon Points, with a loss of 138 Romulan Points. This path unlocks First Blood.
Path 3: side with the Romulans
- Defeat the USS Everest. Location: Deneva. Enemy strength about 17,996.
- Defeat the Klingon D4. Location: Deneva. Enemy strength about 18,405.
- Escort the Magnifica to Kaikara. Location: Kaikara.
- Return the data to your Station.
Rewards for Path 3: 500 Romulan Recruit Tokens, 15 Romulan Credits and 240 Romulan Points, with a loss of 104 Federation Points. This path unlocks For the Glory of Romulus.
Where and what warp
The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 13 to complete. Deneva is where the fights happen, and the escort then goes to Lorillia, Krah’Hor or Kaikara depending on your side.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The two fights on each path are all between about 17,800 and 18,400 strength, so every path asks for the same ship.

Pick the faction you plan to side with. The rewards are the same size on every path, so the real decision is which faction’s recruit tokens and standing you want, and which story you want next.
