Said The Spider to The Fly is a late-game Star Trek Fleet Command mission where you lure the peace summit attacker out of hiding. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 120 to complete. You wait in Kayla, interrogate an unidentified vessel, intercept the unknown ship when it arrives and chase the assailant to Rainsford. The reward is 29,820,000 Tritanium. No objective lists an enemy strength, so this is mostly a travel and trap-setting mission with a big payout.
Said The Spider to The Fly objectives
There are four objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Go to Kayla and wait for the attacker to arrive. Location: Kayla.
- Interrogate the unidentified vessel. Location: Kayla.
- Intercept the arrival of the unknown vessel in Kayla. Location: Kayla.
- Pursue the assailant’s ship to Rainsford. Location: Rainsford.
The first three steps all happen in Kayla, where you set the trap and deal with the vessels that show up. The last step is a pursuit to Rainsford, and the mission ends there.

You can accept the mission at warp 1, but it needs warp 120 to complete. Kayla and Rainsford are the two systems.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. With no listed enemy strength, the warp 120 range is the main requirement.

Said The Spider to The Fly sits between two combat-heavy missions. Apocrypha before it has a fight above 10 million strength, and Smokescreen after it has three hijacked ships above 7 million each, all in Rainsford where this mission ends.

Use this mission to repair and regroup. It has no listed fight, and the next one puts three strong ships in front of you back to back.
