Remnant of a Dream is a late story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you help Maia integrate with her Progenitor codebase. You find the Progenitor signal in Wololo, defeat 15 hostiles of level 44 or higher and bring the artifact home. It can be accepted at warp 1 and needs warp 105 to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the level 44 kill requirement is the real bar. The reward is 9,405,000 Tritanium and nine 1M Tritanium Tokens, and finishing it unlocks Ghost Walking.
Remnant of a Dream objectives
The story line asks you to help Maia integrate with her Progenitor codebase. There are three objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Find the Progenitor signal. Location: Wololo.
- Defeat 15 hostiles of level 44 or higher.
- Return the artifact to your Station.
There is no named enemy. The kill objective does not name a system, so any hostile of level 44 or higher counts, and the mission ends when you bring the artifact home.
Where and what warp
The mission can be accepted at warp 1, but Wololo needs warp 105 to finish it. The recommended level is listed as 1. A ship that can reach warp 105 and beat fifteen level 44 hostiles is what the mission actually needs.

Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission, Ghost Walking.
Where to find level 44 hostiles
Wololo itself holds suitable targets. Current hostile data lists Independent Traders there from level 44 to 47 and Fearless Bandits from 45 to 47. Since the first objective already takes you to Wololo, you can do the kills without moving on.

Ghost Walking is a pure station step. Current building data lists the R&D Department level 44 upgrade at 11,199,600,000 Parsteel, 41,175,000 Dilithium, 6,500 4★ Rare Refined Gas and 1,000 4★ Uncommon Refined Gas, with a build time of 200 days and 17 hours unboosted. It requires Operations 44, Academy 44 and the 4★ Tactical Battleships research. If R&D 44 is far off, the storyline will pause there after Remnant of a Dream.
Tips
Do the kills in Wololo. The Independent Traders there start at level 44, the exact minimum the objective asks for.
Plan for Ghost Walking before you finish. R&D 44 is paid in Parsteel, Dilithium and 4★ Refined Gas, none of which this mission hands out, so start stockpiling those while you do the kills.
