Queen’s Gambit is a ten-part Voyager chain that starts with a rescue of Captain Janeway from the Borg and turns into a three-way struggle between the Borg Queen, the Arcaelans and Species 8472. Every part is recommended for level 34. The chain begins in Murray, and warp to complete ranges from 1 for a Station defense up to 42 for five of the parts. The officer rewards are Tom Paris shards in Part 1, Neelix shards in Part 5 and Kathryn Janeway shards at the end. Plan for a long run with plenty of combat and one Tritanium donation.

Every part starts at warp 1. Only Part 10 has a choice, and both options give Janeway shards.
Queen’s Gambit Part 1
Janeway has been taken by the Borg. You meet Voyager in Murray, follow the Borg trail through Karuna, beat a Borg Sphere in Zahl and escape to Vaskan Kyrian.
- Rendezvous with Voyager (Murray).

- Defeat 12 hostiles of Level 34 or higher.
- Pursue the Borg (Zahl).

- Escape to safety (Vaskan Kyrian).

Queen’s Gambit Part 2
Janeway sends you as her envoy to meet the Borg Queen. The whole part takes place in the Malon Vortex, with three fights before you can hail the Queen’s Diamond.
- Find the Borg Queen (Malon Vortex).
- Defeat the Borg vessel (Malon Vortex, enemy strength ~418,676).
- Keep searching for the Borg Queen (Malon Vortex, enemy strength ~431,670).
- Confirm the Borg Queen’s presence (Malon Vortex, enemy strength ~415,226).
- Hail the Borg Queen’s Diamond (Malon Vortex).
Warp to complete: 28. Rewards: 101,000 Officer XP, 15 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal and 21x 30 Minute Repair Speed Up.
Queen’s Gambit Part 3
The Queen’s transmitted coordinates lead to Deesha and then into Arcaelan territory in Arcaelus. After meeting the Arcaelan envoy, you fight a Hirogen Hunter and escape the Arcaelans into fluidic space at FSEP-168.
- Investigate the transmitted coordinates (Deesha).
- Defeat 12 hostiles of Level 34 or higher.
- Enter Arcaelan territory (Arcaelus).
- Meet with the Arcaelan envoy (Arcaelus).
- Defeat the Hirogen Hunter (Arcaelus, enemy strength ~415,226).
- Escape the Arcaelans (FSEP-168).
Warp to complete: 42. Rewards: 1,444,000 Tritanium, 15 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore and 3x 1 Day Speed Up.
Queen’s Gambit Part 4
Stuck in fluidic space, you fight Species 8472 three times in FSEP-168 before breaking out through the singularity to Deesha.

Queen’s Gambit Part 5
The goal is to purge the Arcaelan virus from your systems. The objectives have you track Voyager from the Malon Vortex to Vaskan Kyrian and attack it there before returning home.
- Find Voyager (Malon Vortex).
- Close in on Voyager (Vaskan Kyrian).
- Attack Voyager (Vaskan Kyrian, enemy strength ~418,676).
- Return to your Station.
Warp to complete: 28. Rewards: Neelix shards, 800 3★ Raw Crystal and 5x 100K Tritanium Token.
Queen’s Gambit Part 6
Species 8472 comes to your Station. This part has three fights and no travel, and it ends with an attempt to communicate with them.
- Defend your Station from Species 8472 (enemy strength ~418,676).
- Disrupt Species 8472 formations (enemy strength ~415,226).
- Push back the fleet (enemy strength ~431,670).
- Communicate with Species 8472.
- Return to your Station.
Warp to complete: 1. Rewards: 750 Ship XP, 1,300 3★ Raw Ore and 40x 1M Parsteel Token.
Queen’s Gambit Part 7
You return to the Delta Quadrant to reestablish contact with Voyager in Vendoo, clear 12 hostiles and pay for Voyager’s hull repairs.
- Return to the Delta Quadrant (Malon Vortex).
- Close in on Voyager’s location (Vendoo).
- Defeat 12 hostiles of Level 34 or higher.
- Donate 4.5M Tritanium to repair Voyager’s hull.
Warp to complete: 34. Rewards: 750,000 Dilithium, 4,000,000 Tritanium and 18x 8 Hour Speed Up.
Queen’s Gambit Part 8
In Teota you find Borg activity, a Hirogen Hunter and a Bio-ship in trouble. After saving the Bio-ship, you carry its pilot to FSEP-40840.
- Investigate the Borg activity in Teota.
- Defeat the Borg Probe (Teota, enemy strength ~418,676).
- Defeat the Hirogen Hunter (Teota, enemy strength ~431,670).
- Save the Bio-ship (Teota, enemy strength ~415,226).
- Transport the Bio-ship pilot to FSEP-40840.
Warp to complete: 42. Rewards: 80 Premium Recruit Token, 25x 10K Dilithium Token and 600 Klingon Recruit Token.
Queen’s Gambit Part 9
The plan now is to turn the Hirogen against the Arcaelans. You hail the Alpha Hirogen, secure an Arcaelan weapon in Thrima and cast it into the Malon Vortex.
- Hail the Alpha Hirogen (FSEP-40840).
- Investigate the Arcaelan weapon in Thrima.
- Defeat 12 hostiles of Level 34 or higher.
- Secure the Arcaelan weapon (Thrima).
- Cast the Arcaelan weapon into the Malon Vortex.
Warp to complete: 42. Rewards: 1x 1 Day Peace Shield, 72,000 Officer XP and 4x 100K Tritanium Token.
Queen’s Gambit Part 10
The Borg trail leads from Deesha to Arcaelus, where you have to decide whether to let the Borg assimilate the Arcaelans.
- Investigate the Borg trail (Deesha).
- Follow the Borg to Arcaelus.
Warp to complete: 34. The dialogue lays out the stakes: retreating accepts that the Arcaelans are lost, while resisting tries to keep Progenitor technology away from the Borg. Both paths end with Janeway shards and 1,400 Latinum.
Retreat from Arcaelus
- Retreat from Arcaelus (Deesha).
- Return to your Station.
Rewards: Kathryn Janeway shards, 80 Premium Recruit Token and 1,400 Latinum.
Resist the Borg
- Resist! (Arcaelus, enemy strength ~415,226)
- Retreat with Voyager to Vaskan Kyrian.
- Return to your Station.
Rewards: Kathryn Janeway shards, 160 Recruit Token and 1,400 Latinum.
Retreating skips the final fight and pays 80 Premium Recruit Token. Resisting adds one fight at about 415,000 strength and a detour to Vaskan Kyrian, and pays 160 Recruit Token instead.
Tips for completing Queen’s Gambit
Warp is high for a level 34 chain. Parts 1, 3, 4, 8 and 9 need warp 42, Parts 7 and 10 need 34, and only Part 6 stays at your Station. If your ship tops out below warp 42, half the chain is out of reach.
Combat is steady: 16 listed fights, all between roughly 415,000 and 432,000 enemy strength. Parts 2, 4, 6 and 8 each stack three fights in a row, so repair before them. Parts 1, 3, 7 and 9 also ask for 12 hostiles of level 34 or higher.
The only donation is 4.5 million Tritanium for Voyager’s hull in Part 7, and the same part pays back 4 million Tritanium and 750,000 Dilithium.
In Part 10, retreat if you want to skip the last fight. The rewards are close either way.
Are the Queen’s Gambit rewards worth it?
For Voyager collectors it is worth the effort. You get three officers (Tom Paris, Neelix and Janeway), 173,000 Officer XP, about 9.8 million Parsteel plus 40 1M Parsteel Tokens, and over 5 million Tritanium, with only one donation along the way.
