Perception and Reality is the final mission of a seven-mission Borg storyline in Star Trek Fleet Command, where you finally fight back against the Borg. You speak with Admiral Hoss in Doska and a Klingon Commander in Yadow, then confront the Borg in Unoma and win two fights there. It needs warp 22 to complete and lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 42 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal and five 8 hour speed ups. It is part of the Borg arc.
Perception and Reality objectives
Five objectives across three systems, no choice split:
- Speak to Admiral Hoss. Location: Doska.
- Speak to the Klingon Commander. Location: Yadow.
- Confront the Borg. Location: Unoma.
- Attack the Borg. Location: Unoma (enemy strength about 305,058).
- Defeat another Borg Ship. Location: Unoma (enemy strength about 347,055).
The first two steps are meetings: Admiral Hoss in Doska, then the Klingon Commander in Yadow. After that everything happens in Unoma, where you confront the Borg and fight two of their ships. The second Borg ship is the stronger at about 347,000.
Where and what warp
There is no pickup system. Perception and Reality starts at warp 1 after Two Sides of the Coin and needs warp 22 to complete. The recommended level is listed as 1, but the second Borg ship at about 347,000 strength is the real test.

Two Sides of the Coin, just before, has you rally the factions against the Borg and pays 866,000 Parsteel and a 1M Parsteel Token. Perception and Reality is the longest trip in the storyline at warp 22.
Tips
Repair between the two Unoma fights. They come back to back, and the second Borg ship is about 42,000 strength tougher than the first. For comparison, Reclamation, another Borg arc mission, has three Borg fights between about 294,000 and 305,000 strength, so the second Unoma ship is tougher than any of those.
Save the five 8 hour speed ups, 40 hours in total, for long upgrades. The mission guide lists every mission by level.
