On The Run is an early bounty mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you hunt down a dangerous criminal and bring him to justice. It is picked up in Tellun, needs warp 5 to start and to complete, and has a recommended level of 7. The chase runs through Risa, Maluria and Yridia, where you defeat Rorov at roughly 1,392 strength. The reward is 5,000 Parsteel, 270 Officer XP and 1 Encryption Key.
On The Run objectives
There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Find the criminal in Risa. Location: Risa.
- Track Rorov’s signature to Malur. Location: Maluria.
- Confront Rorov in Yridia. Location: Yridia.
- Defeat Rorov. Location: Yridia. Enemy strength is roughly 1,392.
- Return Rorov to your Station.
The trail starts in Risa, moves to Malur in the Maluria system, and ends in Yridia, where you catch up with Rorov. Beating his ship is the only fight. The last step brings him back to your Station.
Where and what warp
The mission is picked up in Tellun, and every system on the route needs only warp 5, the same for starting and finishing.
The recommended level is 7. Rorov at roughly 1,392 strength is the one fight to prepare for.

How it compares with similar pickup missions
On The Run belongs to a group of missions picked up in a specific system that pay a special item alongside resources. Current game data for two others:
| Mission | Pickup | Level | Warp | Fight | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| On The Run | Tellun | 7 | 5 | Rorov (about 1,392) | 5,000 Parsteel, 270 Officer XP, 1 Encryption Key |
| Silence Bought | Nausicaa | 14 | 8 | Informants’ ship (about 3,012) | 3,000 Parsteel or a Lucia Gonzales shard, plus 1,500 Tritanium and 1 Orion Manifest |
| Triggered | Rator | 1 | 20 to 38 | None listed | 5 3★ Rare Refined Ore, 1 Encryption Key |
On The Run is the earliest of the three and the easiest way to pick up an Encryption Key. Triggered pays the same item much later, at warp 38.
Tips
Use a combat ship. The first three steps are travel, but the Yridia fight comes straight after, so a mining ship sent on the chase will struggle when it meets Rorov.
Plan the route. Risa, Maluria and Yridia are three separate jumps, all at warp 5, before the return home.
Hold on to the Encryption Key until you know what you want to spend it on. It is the one reward here that is not a plain resource. The return step ends the mission at your Station, so you can repair right after the fight. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
