New Icarus is a single Star Trek Fleet Command mission with no combat in it at all. You pick it up in Quv Qeb, fly out to the Gorn Embassy on Ka’weh in the Beta Penthe system, and hand over 2M Tritanium to help rebuild the garrison there. Warp 38 gets you in and warp 38 gets you through to the end. The payout is 3,200 Ultra Recruit Tokens and one Energy Manifold, so this is a resource trade rather than a fight.

New Icarus objectives

There are only two steps, and they run in this order:

  • Visit the Gorn Embassy on Ka’weh. System: Beta Penthe.
  • Donate 2M Tritanium to the Gorn.

No branch, no choice split, no enemy to destroy. One path in, one set of rewards out. That makes the mission simple to describe and slow to actually finish, because the whole thing hinges on whether your Tritanium bank can cover the donation in one payment.

Where and what warp

New Icarus starts in Quv Qeb. The warp to start and the warp to complete are both 38, which is the number to plan around. Your ship needs a warp range of at least 38 to reach the pickup and to get out to Beta Penthe for the embassy visit. If your best warp range falls short of 38, the mission stays parked in your log until warp research and your ship’s warp stat catch up.

Because nothing in the objective list calls for a fight, the ship you send does not need a combat crew. Warp range and travel speed are what matter here.

New Icarus rewards

Completing New Icarus pays 3,200 Ultra Recruit Tokens and one Energy Manifold.

The token block is the reason to run it. Ultra Recruit Tokens go into officer recruiting, and 3,200 in a single payment is a real pull compared with the trickle you collect from daily activity. The Energy Manifold comes as one item on top of that. New Icarus is a standalone mission rather than a chain, so there is no Part 2 waiting behind it and nothing further unlocks when you close it out.

Tips

Bank the Tritanium before you go. The donation asks for 2M in one step, and the mission simply sits open until you can cover it. The efficient order is to mine and refine first, confirm the full 2M is in the warehouse, then travel out and finish both objectives in one trip. Accepting early does nothing for you except leave an open mission in the log while you grind.

Time the final stretch. Tritanium held above your protected cargo can be taken in a raid, and 2M is a large pile to sit on if you are in an active PvP window. Filling the last chunk and donating in the same session is safer than holding the full amount for a week.

Watch what else wants your Tritanium. Ship builds, tier-ups and research all compete for the same resource, so committing 2M here can stall a build you care more about. Decide which one you want first rather than draining the warehouse and finding out afterward.

Check your warp before you fly rather than after. Warp 38 is the gate on this one, and an outbound ship that cannot make the distance is a wasted trip out and back.
