Mudd’s Sale is a level 28 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you try to find a seller for a batch of rifles in Krlakh, only for the buyer to turn out to be hostile. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to finish, with one fight. The reward is 37,000 Dilithium and 181,000 Tritanium, and completing it unlocks Returning Son. It is a short, single-system job with a fair payout for the level.

Mudd’s Sale objectives

There are four objectives and no choice split:

  • Collect the items. Location: Krlakh.
  • Find the buyer. Location: Krlakh.
  • Defeat the “buyer” (enemy strength ~296,419). Location: Krlakh.
  • Return to your Station.

You collect the rifles and find the buyer in Krlakh. The deal turns into a fight, and once the so-called buyer is beaten you head home. Nothing is donated along the way.

Where and what warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 20 to complete, with no pickup system. Krlakh is the only system involved. Warp 20 matches Flatter to Deceive, Breakout and Returning Son, so a ship that handled the earlier missions in this stretch can make the trip.

The recommended level is 28. The fight at about 296,419 strength is the one combat check.

Mudd’s Sale rewards

Reward Amount
Dilithium 37,000
Tritanium 181,000

Completing Mudd’s Sale unlocks the next mission, Returning Son.

Mudd’s Sale and the missions around it

This stretch runs at level 28 and warp 19 to 20:

Mission Warp to complete Story Rewards
Flatter to Deceive 20 Respond to the distress signal from the traders’ ship 1,156,000 Parsteel, 70 5 Minute Repair Speed Ups
Breakout 20 Try to free the captive trader 181,000 Tritanium, 1,228,000 Parsteel
Mudd’s Sale 20 Find a seller for the rifles 37,000 Dilithium, 181,000 Tritanium
Returning Son 20 Fight back against the Augments 125 Augment Credits, 4 1 Day Speed Ups
Old Friend/New Friend 19 Find the Augment pod 26,000 Dilithium, 128,000 Tritanium

Mudd’s Sale matches Breakout’s 181,000 Tritanium and adds Dilithium where Breakout paid Parsteel. After it the story turns toward the Augments, with Augment Credits in Returning Son.

Tips

Go in expecting a fight. The buyer is the one enemy in the mission, at about 296,419 strength, and it waits in the same system where you collect the rifles.

Since everything happens in Krlakh, there is no travel to plan beyond the round trip. Repair after the fight if you need to; the only step left is the flight home.

Both resources go straight into upgrades at level 28. Returning Son, next in line, pays Augment Credits and 1 Day Speed Ups instead of resources.

Previous mission: Breakout. Next mission: Returning Son. More level 28 missions are on the mission guide.
