Inside Man is a level 11 story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with one job: find the leader of an unorthodox Orion sect and defeat him. The target is Thadis, in the Bellas system, and the whole mission runs at warp 1. It pays 5,000 Parsteel, 30 Recruit Tokens, 12 2★ Interceptor Parts and a Relocation Token. It is a single, light fight and a quick step in the early Orion storyline.

Inside Man objectives

There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Find and defeat the Orion sect leader Thadis. Location: Bellas (enemy strength about 2,905).

Fly to Bellas, locate Thadis and win the fight. At roughly 2,905 strength Thadis is a small target for a level 11 commander, and the mission ends as soon as he is defeated. There is no return trip or report step afterwards.

Where and what warp

Inside Man has no pickup system. It needs warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, so any ship that can leave your station can reach Bellas.

The recommended level is 11, the same as the mission before it. The next mission steps up to level 12.

Inside Man rewards

Reward Amount
Parsteel 5,000
Recruit Token 30
2★ Interceptor Parts 12
Relocation Token 1

Completing Inside Man also unlocks the next mission in the chain.

Inside Man and neighbouring missions

Inside Man follows Guilty By Association, where you collect manifests to prove yourself to the Orion Underboss Arvent. It leads into Cognition, a station step where you give Maia more power to develop the Station.

Mission Recommended level Warp to complete Rewards
Guilty By Association 11 8 75 2★ Common Refined Crystal, 7 2★ Interceptor Parts, 40 1★ Survey Parts
Inside Man 11 1 5,000 Parsteel, 30 Recruit Tokens, 12 2★ Interceptor Parts, 1 Relocation Token
Cognition 12 1 20,000 Parsteel

Between Guilty By Association and Inside Man you collect 19 2★ Interceptor Parts, which is a useful batch if you are upgrading an interceptor at this level.

Tips

Any combat ship you have at level 11 should handle Thadis. If you are short on repairs, this is still a safe fight to take on a partly damaged hull.

The Relocation Token is the unusual reward here. You get only one from this mission, so keep it until you actually need it rather than using it on impulse.

Inside Man needs less warp than the mission before it, so there is no range check to worry about. Finish it and move straight on to Cognition. For other missions around level 11 and 12, see the STFC mission guide.
