Hindsight is a Progenitor storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you locate another Progenitor signal. You track down an artifact in Nuva, bring it to Captain Markona in Kayla, then mine and donate 300 Raw G4 Crystal to unlock it before carrying it home. The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 120 to complete. The reward is a set of 4★ refined crystal across three grades: 8 Epic, 27 Rare and 100 Uncommon.
Hindsight objectives
There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Track down another artifact. Location: Nuva.
- Bring the artifact to Captain Markona. Location: Kayla.
- Mine 300 Raw G4 Crystal.
- Donate 300 Raw G4 Crystal.
- Return the unlocked artifact to your Station.
The mission is split between travel and mining. After picking up the artifact in Nuva and taking it to Captain Markona in Kayla, you need 300 Raw G4 Crystal. The mining objective does not name a system, so you can mine wherever your ship can reach G4 crystal. Once you have mined it, you donate the same 300 to unlock the artifact, then bring it back to your station.
Where and what warp
Hindsight has no pickup system and starts at warp 1. You need warp 120 to complete it, which covers Nuva and Kayla.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. What actually matters is warp 120 and a ship that can mine G4 crystal. No hostiles are listed.

Completing the mission unlocks the next part of the chain.
Hindsight and neighbouring missions
The mission before this is Involuntary Inspection, where you save colonists from Progenitor experiments. The mission after is Homelands, where you meet with the Enterprise before things go too far.

Hindsight needs less warp than Involuntary Inspection and no combat at all, so it is the lighter mission of the two.
Tips
Bring a mining ship that can reach G4 crystal nodes. The 300 Raw G4 Crystal is likely the slowest part of the mission, and the donation step asks for the same amount straight back, so none of it stays with you.
