Guardian Angel is a single-part mission, listed in the game as Guardian Angel Part 2, in which you see what Isolytic damage does in practice. You report to B’Elanna Torres at Installation Alpha in System J-25, track down a Hirogen artifact hunter in Uxal and defeat it. It is recommended for level 26 and needs warp 25 to complete. The rewards are a Kathryn Janeway shard, 485,000 Parsteel, 72,000 Tritanium and 500 Premium Recruit Token. It unlocks from Guarding Angel Part 1 (the game spells the two titles differently), and together they make a short two-step introduction to Isolytic damage.

Guardian Angel Part 2
With the theory of Isolytic damage covered, this mission shows its effects in the field. B’Elanna Torres briefs you at Installation Alpha, you hunt down a Hirogen ship that has been chasing artifacts in Uxal, and then report back.
- Report to B’Elanna Torres in System J-25.
- Find the artifact hunter Hirogen ship in Uxal.
- Defeat the Hirogen in Uxal (enemy strength ~55,452).
- Return to the Installation Alpha, in System J-25.
Warp to complete: 25. Rewards: 1 Kathryn Janeway shard, 72,000 Tritanium, 485,000 Parsteel and 500 Premium Recruit Token.
Before Guardian Angel: Guarding Angel Part 1
The mission that unlocks this one teaches what Isolytic damage is and how to acquire it. It is also level 26 and warp 25, and it runs through System J-25 and Alhazar.
- Reach the Installation Alpha in System J-25.
- Find the Progenitor Archive in Alhazar.
- Donate 50K Dilithium to analyze the spatial disturbance.
- Defeat a Romulan spy in Alhazar (enemy strength ~53,959).
- Return to station.
Its rewards are 35,000 Dilithium, 200 2★ Explorer Parts and 1 15 Hour Repair Speed Up.
Tips for completing Guardian Angel
You cannot pick up Guardian Angel Part 2 on its own. Finish Guarding Angel Part 1 first, which means having 50K Dilithium ready for its donation step; the 35,000 Dilithium it pays back covers most of that.
The only fight here is the Hirogen at about 55,500 strength, a little tougher than the Romulan spy in Guarding Angel Part 1 at about 54,000. A ship that handled the spy should manage the Hirogen, but repair first if the spy fight left you damaged. Both missions finish at warp 25, so the range you used for Part 1 is enough.
Are the Guardian Angel rewards worth it?
Yes. For one fight and a warp 25 trip you get a Kathryn Janeway shard, 485,000 Parsteel, 72,000 Tritanium and 500 Premium Recruit Token, a much bigger payout than Guarding Angel Part 1.
