Mission Green With Envy

Green With Envy is an early story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, built around player level 25. Your job is to bring Niir Tazak safely out toward the Origin Sector, a short escort that ends in a single fight. It begins at Draken in Romulan space and runs out to warp 20. The payout is 302,000 Parsteel and five 3-hour speedups, which makes it a quick, worthwhile stop in the early game. There are no branching choices, so every player runs it the same way.

Green With Envy objectives

The mission runs three objectives in order, and none of them are complicated:

  • Meet with Niir Tazak at Draken, a level-23 system in Romulan space. This is the pickup that sets the escort in motion.
  • Approach the Origin Sector by traveling to Nott, a neutral level-17 system on the way out. Nothing to fight yet, just the jump toward the sector.
  • Fight off the Suliban ship at Nott. The target sits at roughly 74,100 in strength, so this is the one moment you need a combat-ready ship.

Where and what warp

You pick the mission up at Draken and finish it near Nott, with a warp distance of 20 to reach the far end. The recommended level is 25, which puts it comfortably in early-game territory. The main thing to watch is having a ship that can beat a Suliban target of about 74,100. Warp 20 is a modest reach for a level-25 player, but it is farther out than the systems you usually mine in, so plan the trip instead of jumping blind. Keep some fuel in reserve before you push out, since the Origin Sector approach takes you away from your usual home systems.

Green With Envy rewards

Finishing Green With Envy pays out:

  • 302,000 Parsteel
  • Five 3-hour speedups

Parsteel is the headline reward, and 302,000 is a real chunk at level 25, when building and upgrade costs are still measured in the hundreds of thousands. The speedups let you shorten a build or a repair timer. The mission also moves the story along: it follows The Bicker, The Better and leads into Like A Hurricane, so clearing it keeps your early Romulan-space arc progressing.

Tips

The whole mission hinges on one fight, so the prep is simple. Bring a ship rated above 74,100 and the Suliban target goes down without drama; an Interceptor or a well-crewed early warship handles it fine. If your strongest ship sits close to the 74,100 mark, repair to full before you engage so you go in at peak hull and shields. Fly to Draken first to trigger the meeting with Niir Tazak, then continue to Nott for the approach and the battle. Because the run reaches warp 20, top off your fuel before you leave so you are not stranded partway through. If you are saving toward a building upgrade, time this mission so the 302,000 Parsteel lands right when you need it rather than letting it sit in a warehouse that is already full.
