Forging Ties is a diplomatic mission that picks up in Yina and sends you to the Kriosian colony at Hannlaw. It lists warp 120 both to start and to complete, and the work in the middle is a 2.25 million Tritanium donation to repair the colony’s atmospheric controls. The payout is Romulan Credits, Romulan Points and Refined Ore, and it costs you standing with the Klingons and the Federation.
Forging Ties objectives
Four objectives, in this order, with no choice split:
- Meet with the Kriosian colony, in Hannlaw.
- Find the refinery, in Veisa.
- Donate 2,250,000 Tritanium to repair the atmospheric controls.
- Return to the Kriosians, in Hannlaw.
The first step opens the mission at Hannlaw. From there you head to Veisa to find the refinery, which is the site of the repair work the colony needs. The donation is the whole cost of the mission: 2.25 million Tritanium leaves your warehouse in a single objective, with nothing to grind and nothing to fight.
The last step brings you back to Hannlaw to report to the Kriosians and close the mission out. There is no combat objective anywhere in the chain, so a hauler with the range to reach these systems is enough. You do not need a combat fleet crewed and ready.
Where and what warp
Yina is the pickup system. Hannlaw and Veisa are where the objectives happen, and you return to Hannlaw at the end, so budget for at least three jumps once you are out there.
Warp 120 covers both starting and completing this one. That is unusual, and it works in your favour: once a ship in your fleet can reach the pickup, it can reach everything the mission asks for. There is no late spike that strands you halfway through. Warp range comes from the ship plus your warp research, so confirm the ship you plan to fly can make 120 before you take the first objective, not after the Tritanium is already gone.
Forging Ties rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| 4★ Uncommon Refined Ore | 170 |
| Romulan Credits | 700 |
| Romulan Points | 775,000 |
| Klingon Points | -300,000 |
| Federation Points | -1,350,000 |
The two negative lines are not a mistake. Siding with the Kriosians here is a Romulan-aligned choice, and the game charges you for it: 300,000 Klingon Points and 1,350,000 Federation Points come off your reputation when the mission completes. The Federation hit is the larger of the two and the one worth thinking about, because it is nearly twice the Romulan Points you gain.
Reputation in Star Trek Fleet Command sits on a scale that runs from hostile through neutral to allied, and losing this much can push you down a tier with the Federation. That changes which of their systems you can move through safely and what their stores will sell you.
Tips
Have the Tritanium banked before you start. The donation sits third in the objective list, so a mission you begin without 2.25 million on hand parks itself until you mine or refine the rest. Check your warehouse capacity too, since holding that much in one resource is where a lot of players find out their vault protection is smaller than they thought.
Decide which faction you are actually building toward before you accept this one. If you are working Romulan reputation up, 775,000 Points is a solid push and the losses elsewhere are the price you already agreed to pay. If you have been grinding Federation standing for their store or their ships, this mission undoes a meaningful chunk of that work in one hit, and there is no way to complete it without taking the loss.
If you are running other Romulan-side missions in this region, group them. The travel between Yina, Hannlaw and Veisa is most of the clock time here, and the reputation swing lands the same whether you do this mission alone or as part of a Romulan-focused session.
