Double or Nothing is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission where you scout out the next target, a casino in Exchange Gamma, and then pick whose plan to follow: Ro’s or Goon’s. It has a recommended level of 29 and needs warp 24 to finish. There are no fights and no donations. The choice decides the reward: Ro’s plan pays 2,481,000 Parsteel and Goon’s plan pays 73,000 Dilithium.
Double or Nothing objectives
Both paths share the opening steps:
- Scout out the Casino. Location: Exchange Gamma.
- Reconvene with the crew. Location: Exchange Gamma.
- Choose: follow Ro’s plan or Goon’s plan?
Ro’s plan
- Return to your Station.
Reward for this path: 2,481,000 Parsteel.
Goon’s plan
- Return to your Station.
Reward for this path: 73,000 Dilithium.
The two paths have the same last step. Whichever plan you pick, you head home and the mission completes. Only the reward changes, so this is a pure resource choice with no extra risk on either side.
Where and what warp
There is no pickup system, and the mission becomes available at warp 1. Completing it needs warp 24, the range for Exchange Gamma. Both the scouting and the crew meeting happen there, so it is one trip out and one trip home.
The recommended level is 29. With no fight in the objective list, the level matters less than the warp range.
Double or Nothing rewards
| Path | Reward |
|---|---|
| Ro’s plan | 2,481,000 Parsteel |
| Goon’s plan | 73,000 Dilithium |
Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission in the chain.
Which plan to follow
Follow Ro’s plan if Parsteel is what is holding you back. Around level 29, building upgrades regularly cost millions of Parsteel, and 2.48 million in one payment covers a real share of one.
Follow Goon’s plan if you are short on Dilithium. Seventy-three thousand is smaller in raw numbers, but upgrades at this stage ask for far less Dilithium than Parsteel. R&D Department level 25, for example, costs 1.909 million Parsteel and only 14,040 Dilithium, so 73,000 Dilithium goes further than it looks.
If neither resource is tight, pick whichever one your next planned upgrade needs more of.
Double or Nothing and its neighbours
| Mission | Recommended level | Warp to complete | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chip Off The Block | 29 | 24 | 15 Latinum, 1 1 Day Peace Shield |
| Double or Nothing | 29 | 24 | 2,481,000 Parsteel or 73,000 Dilithium |
| A Mighty Arsenal | 29 | 24 | 33 3 Hour Speed Up, 100 1 Hour Speed Up |
All three share the same level and warp, so one ship can run them back to back. The game links Double or Nothing to two follow-up missions, A Mighty Arsenal and All Business.
Tips
Send any ship with warp 24. With no hostile listed, a survey ship can run the whole mission and leave your combat ship free.
Decide on the plan before you reconvene. The choice comes straight after the crew meeting, and it is the only decision that matters in the mission. Every mission by level is on the mission guide.
