Truth and Rumor is a story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you help Koroth find his family inside Klingon space. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 105 to complete, with the fighting in Somraw against two Klingonisch guard ships of about 1.4 million strength each. The reward is 700 4★ Gemeinsame Explorer Parts and 700 4★ Common Battleship Parts, and it unlocks the next mission, Mistrust. It pays 4★ ship parts for two hull types at once.
Truth and Rumor objectives
The story line reads: help Koroth find his family. There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Meet Koroth. Location: Imada.
- Find Koroth’s family. Location: Somraw.
- Defeat Klingon guard. Location: Somraw. Enemy strength about 1,385,777.
- Defeat second guard ship. Location: Somraw. Enemy strength about 1,373,877.
- Retreat from Klingon space. Location: Imada.
You meet Koroth in Imada, cross into Somraw to find his family, fight two guard ships there, and then pull back to Imada to finish.
Wo und welcher Warp
The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 105 to complete. Imada is where it begins and ends; Somraw, a Klingon system, is where the fights happen.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The warp 105 range and the two guard ships at about 1.4 million strength are the real requirements.
Truth and Rumor rewards

Where it sits in the story
| Mission | Warp zum Abschließen | Belohnungen |

| Wahrheit und Gerücht | 105 | 700 4★ Common Explorer Parts, 700 4★ Common Battleship Parts |
| Misstrauen | 120 | 500 4★ Common Refined Crystal, 11,385,000 Tritanium |
The Black Sheep pays interceptor parts and Truth and Rumor pays explorer and battleship parts, so the two together cover all three hull types. Mistrust raises the range to warp 120.
Tips
Repair before you enter Somraw. The two guard ships come back to back with nearly the same strength, and there is no travel step between them.
If the first guard leaves you badly damaged, heal before starting the second. The retreat to Imada has no fight, so you can finish on a damaged ship once both guards are down.
Pick your ship with the reward in mind. Nothing about the mission requires a certain hull, but the parts go to explorers and Schlachtschiffe, so it pays to know which ones you are upgrading next.
Other missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
