The Black Sheep is a late-game story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, picked up in Beta Niobe at warp 80 and completed at warp 105. A distress call leads you into a Klingonisch ambush in Ko’Stok: you clear 10 hostiles of level 43 or higher, defeat a Klingon ship of about 5.65 million strength, get Koroth to safety in Imada and return home. The reward is 140 1M Parsteel Tokens, 800 4★ Gemeinsame Interceptor Parts and a Deep Space Datapad. Finishing it unlocks Truth and Rumor.
The Black Sheep objectives
There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Locate the source of the distress call. Location: Ko’Stok.
- Defeat 10 hostiles of Level 43 or higher.
- Defeat the Klingon ship. Location: Ko’Stok. Enemy strength is roughly 5,649,811.
- Get Koroth to safety. Location: Imada.
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.
The mission opens in Ko’Stok, where you find the source of the distress call. The 10 hostile kills come next, with no system attached in the Daten, so they are not tied to Ko’Stok. Then comes the named fight, a Klingon ship at about 5.65 million, back in Ko’Stok. Once it is down, you take Koroth to safety in Imada and head home.
Wo und welcher Warp
You accept The Black Sheep in Beta Niobe at warp 80. Completing it takes warp 105. The named systems are Ko’Stok and Imada, and the mission ends with a return to your station, so your ship finishes docked.
The recommended level is listed as 1, but warp 105, level 43 hostiles and a 5.65 million strength fight put this well into the late game.
The Black Sheep rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| 1M Parsteel Token | 140 |
| 4★ Common Interceptor Parts | 800 |
| Deep Space Datapad | 1 |
Completing The Black Sheep also unlocks Wahrheit und Gerücht.
The 800 4★ Common Interceptor Parts are the bulk of the reward by count, and they go toward 4★ interceptors. The Parsteel comes as tokens rather than raw Parsteel, and the Deep Space Datapad is a single item.
The Black Sheep and Enter the Man compared
Imada also appears in Enter the Man, another late story mission, which makes the two a useful pair for judging difficulty.
| Mission | Warp to complete | Systeme | Kämpfen | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Das schwarze Schaf | 105 | Ko’Stok, Imada | 10 hostiles of level 43 or higher, Klingon ship at about 5,649,811 | 140 1M Parsteel Token, 800 4★ Common Interceptor Parts, 1 Deep Space Datapad |
| Enter the Man | 110 | Verin, Imada | One fanatic in Verin | 2,700 Latinum |
The two need almost the same warp and both finish with a stop in Imada before heading home. The Black Sheep asks for more fighting, with 10 hostile kills on top of its named fight, and pays in parts and Parsteel tokens rather than Latinum.
Tips
Clear the hostile kills first. They sit between finding the distress call and the Klingon ship, and because they are not tied to Ko’Stok, you can pick level 43 or higher targets wherever they are easiest to find.
Save your best ship for the Klingon ship at about 5.65 million. It is the one fight that decides the mission.
The mission picks up in Beta Niobe at warp 80, so make sure you can reach it before planning around the rewards. Every other mission sorted by level is on the mission guide.
