Verzweifelte Zeiten erfordern verzweifelte Maßnahmen

Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures is a level 28 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you scout a financial building in Exchange Alpha and then choose between Mudd’s plan and Khan’s plan. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 24 to complete. There is one fight, against the Exchange Guard, before the choice. Mudd’s plan pays two 1 Day Speed Ups; Khan’s plan pays Augment Credits and Gemeinsame Plutonium. Each plan also leads to a different next mission, so the choice shapes what comes after.

Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures objectives

The shared part of the mission has three objectives:

  • Scout out the Financial Building. Location: Börse Alpha.
  • Defeat the Exchange Guard. Location: Exchange Alpha. Enemy strength is roughly 133,290.
  • Mudd’s plan or Khan’s plan?

The third step is a choice split. Both paths have the same single objective, but the rewards and the follow-up mission differ.

Path 1: Mudd’s plan

  • Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.

Reward: 2 1 Day Speed Up. This path leads on to Alles drin.

Path 2: Khan’s plan

  • Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.

Rewards: 38 Augment Credits, 30 Common Plutonium. This path leads on to All the Money in the World.

In the game data the title is spelled Desperate Times Call For Disparate Measures. It is the same mission.

Wo und welcher Warp

The mission needs warp 1 to start and warp 24 to complete. Everything before the choice happens in Exchange Alpha, and both paths end with a return to your station, so Exchange Alpha is the one system you need to reach. The recommended level is 28.

Die Mission davor ist Nackte Knochen.

Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures rewards

Path Belohnungen Next mission
Mudd’s plan 2 1 Day Speed Up Alles drin
Khan’s plan 38 Augment Credits, 30 Common Plutonium All the Money in the World

You get one set of rewards per run, depending on the plan you back.

Tips

Bring a combat ship for the Exchange Guard. At roughly 133,290 strength it is the only fight in the mission, and it stands between you and the choice.

Decide on the plan before you reach the split. The two paths do the same work, a return to your station, so the only things that change are the rewards and the next mission. Mudd’s side pays two 1 Day Speed Ups, a straightforward time saving. Khan’s side pays 38 Augment Credits and 30 Common Plutonium instead, which suits a player who has a use for Augment Credits.

Think about where you want the story to go. Mudd’s plan continues with All In and Khan’s plan with All the Money in the World, so the choice here also picks your next mission.
