Detainment is a level 12 Orion Syndicate mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. The Syndikat has captured a Nausicaan warlord, Frutz, over an attack on their colony of Hoan, and you collect him and decide what happens next. It is picked up in Orion and needs warp 8 to start and finish. Both paths pay an Orion Manifest; freeing Frutz adds a Lucia Gonzales shard, while handing him over adds 800 Tritanium.
Detainment objectives
The first two objectives are shared:
- Collect Frutz from the detainment on Azaxa. Location: Nausicaa.
- Decide Frutz’s fate.
The second objective is the choice split, and each path has one final step.
Path 1: free Frutz
- Free Frutz. Location: Nausicaa.
Rewards for this path: 1 Lucia Gonzales shard and 1 Orion Manifest.
Path 2: take Frutz to Vragga
- Take Frutz to Vragga. Location: Nausicaa.
Rewards for this path: 800 Tritanium and 1 Orion Manifest.
Wo und welcher Warp
Detainment is picked up in Orion, which needs warp 8. Completing it also takes warp 8, since every objective is in Nausicaa. The recommended level is 12.
No hostile is listed on either path, so this is a travel-and-decide mission with no combat.
Detainment rewards
| Belohnung | Path 1: free Frutz | Path 2: take him to Vragga |
|---|---|---|
| Orion Manifest | 1 | 1 |
| Lucia Gonzales shards | 1 | Keine |
| Tritanium | Keine | 800 |
Detainment does not unlock a follow-up mission.
Welchen Weg du wählen solltest
If you are collecting Lucia Gonzales, free Frutz. An officer shard is harder to come by than 800 Tritanium, which you will earn from ordinary play at this level.
If you need Tritanium right now for a building upgrade, taking Frutz to Vragga is the practical choice. The Orion Manifest is the same either way.
Other Orion missions at this level
Orion hands out several level 12 Missionen that each pay an Orion Manifest:
| Mission | Warp zum Abschließen | What you do | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inhaftierung | 8 | Collect Frutz in Nausicaa, then free him or hand him over | 1 Orion Manifest plus a Lucia Gonzales shard or 800 Tritanium |
| Unerwünschtes Geschenk | 8 | Collect a gift in Orion, deliver it to Nausicaa, return | 4,000 Parsteel, 1 Orion Manifest |
| Bombardierung | 11 | Pick up explosives in Fostaa, bombard Yidosa in Elona, beat the Rigellian Defender fleet (~3,877) | 6,000 Parsteel, 1 Orion Manifest |
Detainment and Unwanted Gift both run between Orion and Nausicaa at warp 8, so they pair well on a single trip. Bombardment needs a little more warp and has a fight.
Tips
Use any ship. There is no combat, so a mining or survey ship can run the mission while your combat ship does other work.
Pick up the other Orion missions at the same time. Running Detainment alongside Unwanted Gift saves a second trip to Nausicaa.
