Ventures is a level 62 exploration mission in Star Trek Fleet Command set in the Mortican Frontier. It needs warp 1 to start but warp 900 to complete, since it sends you through Lekin-196 and Stellastica before you choose which hazard to study. The meteorite belt pays 33,000 6★ Raw Ore and 80,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel; the ion storm pays 57,500 Concentrated Latinum and 80,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium. There is no combat, and finishing it unlocks Minerals of the Frontier.
Ventures objectives
Howards has been working through the Progenitor Daten you recovered and has decoded much of their research on the Frontier’s spatial anomalies. The Progenitors called the Frontier Sector Alpha-Nine and took a special interest in systems they named Hazards, where the anomalies were most dangerous. While Howards keeps working, he suggests you explore. The first three steps are the same for everyone:

- Continue to explore. Location: Stellastica.

Your crew finds the region full of pirates and raiders, with the major factions more hostile to each other than usual, and suggests visiting one of the Hazards. Two show up on long-range sensors.
The meteorite belt
- Explore the meteorite belt. Location: Esteris.
Rewards: 33,000 6★ Raw Ore and 80,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel.
The ion storm
- Explore the radiation storm. Location: Yunii.
Rewards: 57,500 Concentrated Latinum and 80,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium.
On either path your crew gathers the readings it needs and pulls out before the hazard does lasting damage to the ship.
Wo und welcher Warp
No pickup system is listed, and warp 1 is enough to accept the mission. Completing it needs warp 900, because the route runs through Lekin-196 and Stellastica and then out to Esteris or Yunii. The recommended level is 62, but with no fights in any objective, warp 900 is the real requirement.

Ventures is the one in this stretch that needs a long warp. The missions on either side can be finished without leaving home: Ever Expanding asks you to upgrade Operations to level 62, and Minerals of the Frontier is a ship build and a mining run.
Tips
Choose by what you are short of. The Raw Σ amount is the same 80,000 on both paths, so the real difference is 33,000 6★ Raw Ore against 57,500 Concentrated Latinum.
Send a ship with warp 900 or more. Nothing on the route has to be fought, so a survey or explorer hull with the range is enough. The Frontier story began with The Frontier, the level 61 mission that first takes you into the region, and every other mission by level is on the mission guide.
