USS Franklin-A Part 2 is the second step of the eleven-part USS Franklin-A mission chain in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 38. It has one objective, Upgrade Operations to Level 39, and needs only warp 1 to start and to finish because nothing in it happens out in space. The reward is one Franklin Warp Conduit Mk. II, and completing it unlocks USS Franklin-A Teil 3. If you are raising Operations anyway, this is progress you collect for free.
USS Franklin-A Part 2 objectives
The story line is short: upgrade your Station to unlock updates for the Franklin-A. There is a single objective and no choice split:
- Upgrade Operations to Level 39.
That is the whole mission. No system is listed, no hostile has to be fought, and there is nothing to donate. The part clears when your Operations building reaches level 39, so the only real requirement is the station upgrade itself.
Wo und welcher Warp
The game lists warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, and no pickup system. Every step happens on your station, so ship range never comes into it.
The recommended level is 38, one below the Operations level the objective asks for. In practice the mission tracks your progress toward Operations 39, which is the upgrade that clears it.
USS Franklin-A Part 2 rewards
The only item is one Franklin Warp Conduit Mk. II. Completing the part also unlocks USS Franklin-A Part 3, where the objective moves up to Operations 41.

The first three parts each skip an Operations level (37, 39, 41), and from Part 4 onward the steps close up until the chain asks for every level from 43 to 50. Parts 1 to 8 pay out Mk. II warp components, while the last three pay retrofit keys instead.

Treat this part as a checkpoint on your Operations track. You cannot speed it up with a ship or a fight, so the only way to finish it sooner is to finish the upgrade sooner.
Keep the chain moving. Because each part unlocks only when the one before it is done, finishing USS Franklin-A Teil 1 early keeps Part 2 ready and waiting, so the Warp Conduit arrives the moment Operations 39 completes rather than sitting unclaimed.
