Upgrade Defense Platform A: Level 7

Upgrade Defense Platform A: Level 7 is a station mission with a single build behind it: take Defense Platform A up to level 7. Recommended level is 1, warp is 1 to pick it up and 1 to finish, and the payout is 1,300 Tritanium. Finishing it also opens the next part of the chain. Your ships stay docked for the whole thing.

Upgrade Defense Platform A: Level 7 objectives

One objective, no branches.

  • Upgrade Defense Platform A to Level 7.

The mission watches your station build queue instead of anything out in space. Queue the upgrade on Defense Platform A, let the timer run, and the objective ticks over the moment level 7 lands. There is no hostile to clear, nobody to escort, and no hand-in step afterward.

Pay attention to the letter. A station can hold several defense platforms, and this mission tracks A specifically, so pouring resources into B or C will not move the counter. If the objective looks stuck at 6/7, the usual answer is that you upgraded a different platform.

Wo und welcher Warp

Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete. Both numbers say the same thing: everything happens inside your own system, so ship condition and warp range have no bearing on it.

The recommended level reads as 1, which is what the game shows for Missionen with no combat in them. Treat that as a floor rather than a schedule. The actual gate is your station: Defense Platform A cannot pass the level your Operations building allows, and level 7 sits well past the opening hours of an account. Most players pick this one up early and finish it much later, whenever their base catches up.

Upgrade Defense Platform A: Level 7 rewards

1,300 Tritanium. Completing it also unlocks the next part of the chain.

Tritanium is the resource that station defenses and mid-tier ship components lean on hardest, and your own tritanium mine is slow at the levels where this mission is live. Getting 1,300 of it back for a build you were already planning is a reasonable nudge, though the real return is the platform level itself. A stronger Defense Platform A raises what an attacker has to chew through before they touch your station.

Judge the payout against the upgrade cost rather than in isolation. By the time you can reach level 7, the build bill is bigger than the reward, so nobody runs this for profit. It is progression money.

Tips

Start the upgrade before you log off. It runs on a build timer and the mission closes when that timer does, so kicking it off at the end of a session means the Tritanium is waiting at your next login rather than costing you idle minutes.

Check Operations first when the upgrade is greyed out. Station Gebäude cannot outpace the Operations level, and a blocked defense platform is far more often an Operations ceiling than a missing resource. If Operations is behind, that upgrade is the faster path to finishing this mission.

Bank the tritanium before you start. Defense platform upgrades want a chunk of it at higher levels, and mining it on demand is slow going. Running a tritanium node or two while an unrelated build timer burns down is a cheap way to have the resource ready when the mission’s turn comes.

Raise the platforms as a set if you plan to defend your base at all. There are missions for the others too, and platform strength is judged as a group when a station comes under fire, so a single tall platform next to several short ones does less for you than an even line.

Returning players should check the building level before assuming the mission is broken. A queued upgrade that got cancelled leaves the platform sitting below 7, and the objective is simply unmet. Requeue it and the mission closes on its own.
