Our Time Is Running Out is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission built for commanders around level 53, and it plays out as a preparation checklist rather than a fight. You regroup with VESTA out in the Vacuum Epicenter, finish a research node back home, then burn a large pile of Dilithium as a catalyst. Payout is 190,350,000 Tritanium and ten 1M Dilithium Tokens, and it opens the next part of the chain. Bank the dilithium before you start and the rest goes quickly.
Our Time Is Running Out objectives
Three objectives, completed in this order:
- Return to VESTA in the Vacuum Epicenter.
- Complete 5★ Explorer Weaponry Research.
- Ionize 25M Dilithium as a catalyst.
None of the three involve combat, which makes this an unusually quiet mission for level 53. What it costs instead is account progress: research time and raw dilithium. Only the first step asks you to fly anywhere. The second sits in your research tree, so the mission stalls at that objective until the 5★ Explorer Weaponry node is finished and you cannot rush past it with a good crew. The third consumes 25 million dilithium, which is the real gate on this mission for most players.
Wo und welcher Warp
Pickup costs warp 1, so accepting the mission is free of any travel requirement. The number to plan around is warp 205 to complete, which covers the run out to the Vacuum Epicenter to meet VESTA. Check your warp range before you accept, because at that distance an underbuilt ship simply will not make the jump. Recommended level is 53.
Our Time Is Running Out rewards
Completing the mission pays:
- 190,350,000 Tritanium
- 10 x 1M Dilithium Token
It also unlocks the next part of the chain.
Worth doing the math on the dilithium first. The mission asks you to ionize 25 million and hands back tokens worth 10 million, so the trip costs you 15 million dilithium net. The Tritanium is the headline, and at 190 million it covers a meaningful chunk of a build or a research push at this stage of the game.
Tips
Start stockpiling dilithium well before you pick this one up. Twenty-five million is not the kind of number you scrape together in an afternoon, and the objective will sit unfinished while you mine. If you run dilithium refineries or hold Dilithium Tokens from events, spend them into your balance before the ionize step rather than after.
Queue the 5★ Explorer Weaponry Research early too. Research time runs in the background, so kicking it off at the same time you begin the dilithium grind means both objectives finish close together instead of back to back.
Because the objectives lock in order, you cannot tick the ionize step early, but you can still have the dilithium sitting in your warehouse and the research finished before you ever accept the mission. Done that way the whole thing closes out in a few minutes instead of a few days.
The trip to the Vacuum Epicenter is the only travel in the mission, and nothing here calls for a combat loadout. Fly whatever gets you to warp 205 safely and keep your fighting crew free for other work while this one ticks over.
