Transience is a three-part mission chain about Transogen, the new resource that has appeared in the galaxy. You investigate a Transogen asteroid and mine your first units, help the Enterprise search for a Klingon fleet across four systems, then scan for the fleet’s location and withdraw after a skirmish. All three parts are recommended for level 32, and the chain needs warp 27 for Part 1 and warp 26 for the rest. It pays 1,500 Raw Common Transogen, 750 Raw Ungewöhnlich Transogen, 800 Replicator Rations and 3 SNW D’Chok shards. With only two fights and no donations, it is one of the lightest of the level 32 Transogen chains.

Transience Part 1

A new resource has turned up, and your job is to take a look. You investigate a Transogen asteroid in Hoskk, mine a small amount and then meet the Enterprise. There is no combat.

  • Investigate a Transogen asteroid in Hoskk.
  • Mine 15 Raw Common Transogen.
  • Meet the Enterprise in Thama.

Warp to complete: 27. Rewards: 500 Raw Common Transogen, 250 Raw Uncommon Transogen, 800 3★ Raw Ore and 400 Replicator Rations.

Transience Part 2

The Enterprise is looking for a Klingon fleet. You search three systems in turn, find a Klingon ship in Yunlo and disable it, then pull back to Gya’tuum.

  • Search for the Klingon fleet in the Hegh’Vur system.
  • Search for the Klingon fleet in the Gya’tuum system.
  • Search for the Klingon fleet in the Yunlo system.
  • Disable the Klingon ship in Yunlo (enemy strength ~296,419).
  • Retreat to a safe distance, in Gya’tuum.

Warp to complete: 26. Rewards: 1,000 Raw Common Transogen, 500 Raw Uncommon Transogen, 400 Replicator Rations and 80 15 Minute Speed Up.

Transience Part 3

You still need to pin down where the Klingonen are. Two scans from different systems narrow it down, a Klingon Fighter tries to stop you in Schinta, and you withdraw to Malaba.

  • Scan from Malaba to determine the Klingons’ location.
  • Scan from Schinta to determine the Klingons’ location.
  • Defeat the Klingon Fighter in Schinta (enemy strength ~349,856).
  • Withdraw from the Klingons, to Malaba.

Warp to complete: 26. Rewards: 20 Transogen Forge Foundation, 150 Refined Uncommon Transogen, 18 1 Hour Speed Up and 3 SNW D’Chok shards.

Tips for completing Transience

Part 1 needs a ship that can mine. You have to pull 15 Raw Common Transogen yourself before the Enterprise meeting unlocks, so bring a survey ship or a miner to the Hoskk asteroid rather than your combat ship. Part 1 is also the longest trip, at warp 27.

The two fights are mild for the level: a Klingon ship at about 296,000 strength in Part 2 and a Klingon Fighter at about 350,000 in Part 3. Part 2 is mostly travel, with four systems to visit, so plan the Hegh’Vur, Gya’tuum and Yunlo stops as one route.

House of Hurak later sends you back to a Transogen asteroid in Hoskk, and Hurak’s Folly und Crossed Bat’leths also pay SNW D’Chok shards.

Are the Transience rewards worth it?

It is a low-effort chain, so the answer is yes for most commanders at level 32. The payout is modest: 3 SNW D’Chok shards, the fewest of the D’Chok chains, plus 1,500 Raw Common and 750 Raw Uncommon Transogen and 800 Replicator Rations. Only two fights and one mining step stand in the way. The Transogen faction guide explains the resource you are introduced to here, and the STFC mission guide covers the other chains at this level.
