The Actian Brood is a short combat mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Its one objective is to defeat an Actian enemy in Risa, at an enemy strength of around 347,000. It needs only warp 1 to start and finish and lists a recommended level of 1. The reward is 10 Latinum. It is a quick fight if your ship can handle that strength.

The fight is the whole mission. Once the Actian enemy is beaten, it is complete.

How the fight compares
An enemy strength of around 347,000 turns up in several early story missions. The Romulan Officer in Zwei Seiten der Medaille is the same strength, and so is the Starfleet Agent’s vessel on one path of Überbringer von schlechten Nachrichten. If your ship can win those fights, it can win this one.
Risa is also a stop in other missions, including On The Run und Ein Hornissennest, so you may already be passing through.
Tips
Arrive at full health. There is only one fight, so there is no earlier step to wear your ship down, and your repair queue is free once it is over.
