Technological Marvels is a Federation-space mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you source Dilithium for Klein’s terraforming engine. It is picked up in Thama and needs warp 27 both to start and to finish. The two objectives are to mine 120K Dilithium and then donate the same 120K to the Federation Wissenschaft Team. The reward is 1,009,000 Parsteel. There is no fight at all, so the whole mission comes down to how quickly you can mine the Dilithium.
Technological Marvels objectives
Es gibt zwei Ziele und keine Verzweigung:
- Mine 120K Dilithium.
- Donate 120K Dilithium to the Föderation Science Team.
Neither objective lists a system. The first asks you to mine 120K Dilithium, which means sending a mining ship out to Dilithium nodes. The second hands the same amount over to the Federation Science Team for Klein’s terraforming engine.
No hostile is listed, so the mission has no combat step. What it costs is mining time and the 120K Dilithium you give away at the end.
Wo und welcher Warp
The mission is picked up in Thama. The game lists warp 27 to start and warp 27 to complete.
The recommended level is listed as 1. The warp requirement is the more useful guide to when this mission becomes practical.
Technological Marvels rewards
The reward is 1,009,000 Parsteel. There are no other items, and the current data does not list a further mission unlocked by this one.
What the trade looks like
Technological Marvels is a resource swap. You mine 120K Dilithium, give all of it away, and get back just over a million Parsteel.
| You put in | You get back |
|---|---|
| Mining time for 120K Dilithium | 1,009,000 Parsteel |
| A donation of 120K Dilithium | No Dilithium is returned |
Whether that is good value depends on which resource is holding up your progress. If you are short on Parsteel and have mining capacity to spare, it is an easy million. If Dilithium is your bottleneck, the mission costs you exactly what you need most.
Similar collect-and-donate missions
Several other Missionen ask you to gather something and hand it over rather than fight:
| Mission | What you gather and donate | Warp zum Abschließen | Main rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Technologische Wunderwerke | Mine and donate 120K Dilithium | 27 | 1,009,000 Parsteel |
| Ausfüllen der Lücken | Mine 500 Parsteel, set aside 500 Parsteel | 1 | 700 Parsteel, 140 1★ Explorer Parts |
| Wir lassen uns nicht zum Schweigen bringen | Collect and donate 260 Federation Messages | 1 | Refined crystal, Klingonisch Credits and Points |
Tips
Plan the mining before you start. The first objective asks you to mine 120K Dilithium, and the donation that follows takes the same amount, so the mission moves as fast as your mining does.
Nothing in the mission needs firepower, so a survey hull with good cargo capacity is the right tool.
Plan around the donation. The second objective takes the full 120K, so avoid spending that Dilithium on research or upgrades between the two steps.
