Talla Panzerkreuzer

The Talla is a grade 2 Common Battleship from the Independent faction, an early Andorian design you unlock at Shipyard level 14. Its Explorer Hunter ability raises weapon damage whenever it fights an Explorer, which makes it a cheap, focused counter ship for early hostile grinding and player battles against Explorer hulls. For most players it is a short-term opening-game ship that later becomes scrap material toward better hulls.

How to get the Talla

The Talla is built rather than earned from a selten drop. You need 40 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 14, plus a first-tier research unlock, before construction opens. The build costs 22,000 Tritanium and takes 18 hours and 30 minutes to complete. That research prerequisite is only a first-tier unlock, so it rarely blocks anyone who has reached Shipyard 14, and Tritanium is a base material you are already refining by that point. The game Daten sets the requirement and cost, but it does not say where the blueprints come from, so collect them through whatever store or event is offering them in your game rather than assuming a fixed source.

Talla ability

The Talla’s ship ability is Explorer Hunter. When the ship it is fighting is an Explorer, the Talla increases its own weapon damage, starting at 10% at level 1 and climbing to 50% at level 35. Ship abilities are always active, so there is nothing to trigger: the bonus applies on its own the moment the target is an Explorer. The scaling is steady through the levels, reaching about 19% by level 10, 26% by level 17, and 34% by level 25 before topping out at 50%, so the Talla gets meaningfully stronger against Explorers the more you invest in it. That also means it earns its keep against Explorer hulls and adds nothing extra against Interceptors or Schlachtschiffe, so it pays to point it at the right targets.

Stats and tiers

Base values below come from the current game data. Research, buffs, and Offiziere raise them in play. The Talla is an armor ship: its hull HP grows steeply from tier to tier while its shield stays flat at 350, so it soaks damage through structure rather than deflection. Warp speed and range both climb as you tier it up, which helps it reach targets, while impulse holds at 94 the whole way. Cargo space rises to 14,500 at tier 7, but only 150 of that is protected, so treat the Talla as a warship rather than a hauler.

Ebene Warp (speed / range) Impulse Cargo (protected) Shield HP Hull HP Health (displayed)
1 1.5 / 13 94 3,000 (80) 350 1,080 715
4 1.8 / 16 94 6,320 (100) 350 1,500 925
7 2.5 / 19 94 14,500 (150) 350 2,850 1,600

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. The Talla carries two energy weapon Banken at max tier, both on the same quick cycle, so it opens fire in the first round and keeps shooting every round after.

Waffe Typ Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Waffe 1 Energie 1 1 1 716–876 10% 150%
Waffe 2 Energie 1 1 1 716–876 10% 150%

Crew slots and officer bonus

The Talla opens officer slots as it gains levels.

The ship also boosts your officers’ stats. On the Talla the attack, defense, and health bonuses are identical, and each steps up the same ladder as the ship progresses.

Crew for the Talla

As a Battleship, the Talla wants a bridge built around weapon damage and crit, since its whole value is hitting Explorers harder. The hull triangle backs this up: Battleships already have an edge on Explorers, and Explorer Hunter widens that gap. Both of the Talla’s weapon banks are energy, so officers and research that lift energy weapon damage suit it best. Because the ability only rewards fighting Explorers, crew it for offense and send it after Explorer targets where the bonus is live. Rather than lock in names that shift with the meta, check the current picks on the Officer Tier List; the strongest captain and bridge officers change as new officers arrive.

The Talla in Star Trek

The Talla is a Star Trek Fleet Befehl original rather than a ship from the shows. In the game’s story it is an old Andorian battleship from the mid-22nd century, built around heavy structural armor and rows of energy weapon banks. Its name points to Unternehmen canon: Commander Shran, the Andorian officer who repeatedly crossed paths with Captain Archer’s crew, is well established on screen, and the game names the ship for his half-Aenar daughter Talla as a symbol of Andorian and Aenar unity. That framing fits Shran’s own history bridging the two peoples.

Is the Talla worth it?

For its grade band the Talla is a niche pick: a grade 2 Battleship that only shines against Explorers. If you are early in the game and grinding Explorer hostiles or defending against Explorer-hull attackers, it does a specific job cheaply. It does not stay relevant for long, and because it becomes scrappable at Betrieb level 14, most players eventually break it down for parts toward stronger ships. Build it if you want the counter right now; skip it if you are already close to grade 3.
