Strange Encounters is a level 76 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you track down the source of some mysterious signals. It is picked up in Nabireia and needs warp 4,000 to start and to complete, with stops in Xinduq, Kilmihil and the Werft in Otralitea. There is no named fight, just 10 hostiles of level 76 or higher, plus a 60K Σ-Dilithium donation to free a ship. The reward is 4,584,000 7★ Raw Erze, 400,000 7★ Broken Battleship Parts and 4,100,000 Latinum. It is one of the best-paying missions at level 76, and it leaves your reputation untouched.
Strange Encounters objectives
There are six objectives and no choice split:
- Follow the strange signal. Location: Xinduq.
- Defeat 10 hostiles of level 76 or higher.
- Follow the second signal. Location: Kilmihil.
- Scan the system. Location: Kilmihil.
- Donate 60K Σ-Dilithium to free the ship.
- Proceed to the Shipyard. Location: Otralitea.
The first signal leads to Xinduq and the second to Kilmihil, where a scan finds a trapped ship. Your 60K Σ-Dilithium frees it, and the mission closes at the Shipyard in Otralitea.

The pickup system is Nabireia. Warp to start and warp to complete are both 4,000, and the recommended level is 76.
Three systems are visited after the pickup, and the mission finishes at the Shipyard in Otralitea rather than back in Nabireia.

Strange Encounters pays the most of the three, with the Latinum on top of the largest raw payout.
The 4,100,000 Latinum is the second-largest Latinum payout at level 76, behind the 8,656,000 from Midnight Oil, the station mission that asks for Gravimetric Data.
Tips
Keep 60K Σ-Dilithium ready for Kilmihil. The last objective only opens once the ship is freed.
Clear the hostiles in Xinduq before you follow the second signal, since the count comes straight after the first stop.
Propaganda also starts in Nabireia and visits Kilmihil at the same level, and Unravel sends you to both Xinduq and Kilmihil, so several level 76 missions can share a route.
