Strike While the Iron is Hot is a Discovery storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you launch the assault on Tilly’s base. It is recommended for level 25, starts at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to complete. You approach the base in Netron Alpha, clear 12 hostiles of level 23 or higher, then confront and defeat Tilly. The reward is 402,000 Parsteel, 60,000 Tritanium and 250 1★ Battleship Parts. It follows straight on from Guns Blazing and pays well for the level.
Strike While the Iron is Hot objectives
There are four objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Approach Tilly’s base. Location: Netron Alpha.
- Defeat 12 hostiles of level 23 or higher.
- Confront Tilly. Location: Netron Alpha.
- Defeat Tilly. Location: Netron Alpha. Enemy strength is about 129,975.
After reaching the base, you need 12 kills against hostiles of level 23 or higher, with no system set for them. Then you confront Tilly in Netron Alpha, and beating her ship ends the mission.

Strike While the Iron is Hot can be accepted at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to finish. Netron Alpha is the only named system.
The recommended level is 25. Tilly is listed at about 129,975 strength, in line with the other fights in this part of the story.

Strike While the Iron is Hot is the only one of these with a hostile count, and it pays the most Tritanium. Diverging Paths, after it, pays much less and closes the Burnham thread.
Tips
Clear the 12 hostiles before you confront Tilly. They must be level 23 or higher but can be anywhere, so hunt somewhere convenient and repair afterwards.
Tilly is no stronger than the ships you fought in The Masks We Wear and Guns Blazing, so the same ship will do.
