Fight Back sends you to the Yadow system to link up with resistance fighters and clear ten hostile ships out of the area. The mission is listed at recommended level 1, but finishing it takes warp 18, so most players accept it early and come back to it later. It pays 500,000 Parsteel and opens the next mission in the storyline.

Fight Back objectives

There are two objectives, and both play out in Yadow:

  • Reach the resistance fighters on Riquzei. Location: Yadow.
  • Destroy 10 hostile ships in Yadow. Location: Yadow.

The first objective is travel only. Once your ship arrives in Yadow the step clears, and the mission moves straight into the combat objective. No choice split appears in this mission, so there is a single path through it and a single set of rewards.

Ten kills is the part that takes real time. It is a grind objective rather than a single scripted fight, so plan on several trips back to the repair dock if your ship is undersized for what is roaming the system. Send a ship you can afford to have sitting in Yadow for a while, not the one you need elsewhere for daily grinding.

Wo und welcher Warp

Fight Back starts at warp 1, which puts the pickup well inside early-game space and reachable by any ship you own. Completing it needs warp 18.

That gap between warp 1 and warp 18 is worth reading carefully, because it explains why the recommended level of 1 is misleading. A brand new player can accept this mission on day one and then sit on it for weeks, because Yadow is far outside the range of an early ship. Warp range comes from ship tier and from research, so the practical requirement is not your account level but whether you have a hull that can make an 18-warp jump and survive what is waiting when it lands.

If your best warp range is still in single digits, leave the mission in your log and keep pushing warp research and ship progression. Nothing about Fight Back expires.

Fight Back rewards

Completing Fight Back pays 500,000 Parsteel. That is the entire reward: no officer shards, no ship parts, no resource mix. Finishing it also unlocks the next mission in the chain, which is progression rather than loot.

How good 500,000 Parsteel feels depends entirely on when you cash it in. For a player who accepts the mission at level 1 and finishes it the moment their warp range allows, it is a real injection into an early base build. For a player who reaches warp 18 comfortably and only then notices the mission sitting in the log, it is closer to pocket change against the Parsteel costs at that stage. Either way it is free, and the objective list is short.

Tips

Check your warp range before you commit to travel. The mission itself gives no warning that the destination sits at warp 18, and burning a long jump only to discover you cannot reach the system wastes a repair cycle for nothing.

Scout Yadow before you start swinging. All ten kills happen in one system, so a quick look at what spawns there tells you whether to bring an interceptor, an explorer, or a battleship, and whether your current crew can take the hits without constant repairs.

Queue the kills alongside other work in the system. Because the objective only asks for ten hostile ships in Yadow, the combat step folds neatly into any other reason you have to be out that far, rather than needing a dedicated trip.

Repair between waves rather than after. A damaged hull that limps through kill seven usually costs more total repair time than pulling back early, and Yadow is a long way from home if you have to make the trip twice.
