Preventive Measures is a five-part mission chain that starts with a surprise Cardassian attack on Baelos Prime and ends with the Cardassians hunting you back to your own Station. Along the way you help Section 31’s Agent Holloway defend the Baelosians, capture the Cardassian officer Raska Lor and fight your way through a string of Cardassian outposts. All five parts are recommended for level 53. You pick the chain up in Hutch at warp 255, and the parts need warp 185 to 255 to complete. Every part pays 800 Federation Credits and 1,400,000 Federation Points with a -2,671,200 Klingon Points value, plus Tritanium, speed ups and 2 Section 31 Datapads at the end.

Investigate the disturbance in Baelos. An unknown fleet is moving on Baelos Prime, Agent Holloway identifies it as Cardassian, and you hold it off until the Section 31 fleet arrives.

Help repair the damage on Baelos Prime. The planet’s defenses and fleet both took a beating, and the Baelosians ask for materials to rebuild before you check where the Cardassians fled.
- Return to Baelos Prime and assess the damage, in Baelos.
- Donate 6B Parsteel to repair planetary defenses on Baelos Prime.
- Donate 75M Tritanium to repair the Baelosian fleet.
- Investigate the potential escape route of the Cardassians, in Fibona.
This part has no combat. Warp to complete: 185.

Preventive Measures Part 3
Pursue the fleeing Cardassian. You predict where the ship will drop out of warp, fight through an ambush and catch it in Seretos, where its commander, Raska Lor, decides to take you on.

Fight your way to the Cardassian outpost. Raska Lor agrees to guide you to her outpost, but Cardassian ships keep intercepting you on the way and refuse every hail.

Escape the Cardassian pursuit. You hand Raska Lor over at her outpost, but the Cardassians give chase, and Mul Razek tracks you all the way to your Station.

- Make your escape, in Dela.
- Defeat Raska Lor, in Dela (enemy strength ~19,553,313).

Tips for completing Preventive Measures
Every enemy is listed at between about 19.6 million and 22.6 million strength, with Mul Razek at the top. A repaired level 53 combat ship will handle all of them. Parts 1 and 4 each string three fights together, so repair between them if the damage builds up.
Part 2 is all donations: 6B Parsteel and 75M Tritanium. Have both ready so the part does not stall halfway.
Part 5 ends with a Move your Station objective after the fight with Mul Razek, so expect to relocate at the end of the chain.
In total the chain pays 7,000,000 Federation Points and 4,000 Federation Credits, and carries -13,356,000 Klingon Points.
Are the Preventive Measures rewards worth it?
For Federation players, yes. The chain gives about 591 million Tritanium, 1,700 3 Hour Speed Ups, 7 million Federation Points and 2 Section 31 Datapads for easy fights and one round of donations.
