Nausikaanischer Gesetzloser

The Nausicaan Outlaw is a Neutral hostile that roams Nausicaan space and the systems around it at levels 10 to 16. It spawns only as an Interceptor, so an Explorer takes it down fastest. You will find it at warp 7 for most of its range, rising to warp 10 at the top, and every kill drops Parsteel, the base building material. Bring a well-crewed Explorer, match the warp, and it makes an easy early-game farm.

How to beat the Nausicaan Outlaw

The Nausicaan Outlaw only appears as an Interceptor, so bring an Explorer. Explorers beat Interceptors, which means your ship lands cleaner hits and takes less in return. There is nothing to swap between as you climb from level 10 to 16; one Explorer covers the whole range. Because the hostile tops out at level 16, you rarely need a maxed ship here, just one that out-classes the level you are farming.

For the crew, put a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles in the captain’s chair, then fill the other seats with Offiziere that add damage or mitigation. At these low levels the cadet crew works well: Cadet Kirk as captain with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura. As you unlock stronger officers, check the Officer Tier List for current picks. Crews shift with the meta, so treat any named lineup as a starting point rather than a permanent answer.

Because these are low-level spawns, the fights end fast and your Explorer usually walks away with little damage, so you can chain several kills before you need to dock and repair. If a level 16 spawn does chew through your hull, pull back to the level 10 to 13 targets where the incoming damage is much lower and the Parsteel still flows.

Where to find the Nausicaan Outlaw

The Nausicaan Outlaw clusters in Nausicaan space and the neighboring systems, sitting at warp 7 for most of its range and jumping to warp 10 at level 16. The lower levels spread across the widest set of systems, while the level 16 spawns narrow down to a few deeper systems. Match your warp to the level you want and pick a system where the outlaws cluster thickest. Rigel and Nausicaa appear across most of the range, so they make convenient home bases if you plan to sit and farm; the level 16 targets in Dhi'ban, Lycia, and Rigel are the ones that need the warp 10 jump.

Ebene Warp Systeme
10 7 Clytomenes, Eojur, Nausicaa, Nelve, Rigel, Zehoro
11–14 7 Clytomenes, Dhi’ban, Eojur, Lycia, Nausicaa, Nelve, Rigel, Zehoro
15 7 Clytomenes, Dhi’ban, Lycia, Nausicaa, Nelve, Rigel

Rewards and what it drops

The Nausicaan Outlaw drops Parsteel on every kill across its whole level 10 to 16 range. It also gives ship XP that grows as you fight higher-level spawns, so farming the top of its range doubles as a way to level the Explorer you bring.

Ablegen What it is
Parsteel (229–558) The base building material used for nearly every station upgrade and ship build in the early game.

Nausicaan Outlaw stats

Stats vary a little by level and climb steeply, so a level 16 spawn hits far harder than a level 10 one.

Ebene Total strength Hull HP Shield HP Angriff Verteidigung Ship XP
10 1,927 380 380 762 785 58
13 3,877 580 580 1,652 1,645 99
16 9,449 1,580 1,580 4,034 3,835 150

Nausicaan Outlaw firing pattern

The Nausicaan Outlaw carries two Kinetic weapons that fire every other round, so its damage arrives in bursts rather than a steady stream. Time your repairs or shield mitigation for the rounds it fires, and use the gaps between volleys to let an Explorer chip it down.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Kinetic 2 432–528 Every other round 10% (1.5x)

The Nausicaans in Star Trek

Nausicaans are a tall, aggressive species known for hired muscle, gambling, and short tempers. In canon they appear most famously in a bar brawl that a young Jean-Luc Picard barely survived, an encounter that cost him his real heart and taught him a lesson he carried through his career. They tend to work as mercenaries, raiders, and enforcers rather than under a single government, which fits their role in the game as freelance troublemakers preying on traffic in contested systems. The outlaws you fight here are exactly that: low-level hired guns looking for an easy score.

Is the Nausicaan Outlaw worth grinding?

For an early player it is a solid Parsteel source and an easy way to pump ship XP into a new Explorer. The fights are short, the warp costs are low, and the spawns are gemeinsame across Nausicaan space. Match your warp to the level, bring an Explorer to counter the Interceptor hull, and clear a few between other tasks rather than parking on it for hours.
