Puppets on a String is a level 29 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you stop Khan. You find him at The Principium, clear 12 hostiles, beam him aboard, then deal with the Eclipse: first their ship at Ro’s base in Kuzukoh, then the Eclipse COO after you return home. It needs warp 24 to complete. The reward is 2,688,000 Parsteel, a 1 day Peace Shield and 98 Augment Credits. It is part of the Outlaws arc.
Puppets on a String objectives
Seven objectives, no choice split:
- Find Khan. Location: The Principium.
- Defeat 12 Hostiles of Level 27 or higher.
- Beam Khan aboard. Location: The Principium.
- Return to Ro’s base. Location: Kuzukoh.
- Defeat the Eclipse ship. Location: Kuzukoh (enemy strength about 200,351).
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.
- Defeat the Eclipse COO (enemy strength about 198,251).
The mission has three phases. At The Principium you find Khan, clear 12 hostiles of level 27 or higher wherever you find them, and then beam him aboard. At Ro’s base in Kuzukoh you defeat an Eclipse ship. Finally, after you head home, the Eclipse COO has to be defeated too; no system is listed for that last fight.
Wo und welcher Warp
There is no pickup system. Puppets on a String starts at warp 1 and needs warp 24 to complete. The recommended level is 29, and the two Eclipse fights at about 200,000 strength are what to prepare for.

All three share level 29 and warp 24. Puppets on a String is the only one of the three that pays Parsteel, and it also adds a Peace Shield.
Tips
Clear the 12 hostiles close to The Principium if you can. The beam-aboard step is back at The Principium, so hunting nearby saves travel.
Repair at home before the Eclipse COO. The objective list sends you back to your station right before that fight, which is the natural moment to top up after the Kuzukoh battle.
