The Legionary is a grade 3 Uncommon Romulan Battleship that unlocks once your Shipyard reaches level 26. It is built to fight, and it fights Föderation ships in particular: its always-on ability raises weapon damage against Federation targets, and a refit lets it cloak. For a grade 3 hull it hits hard against the right enemy and gives newer commanders an early taste of a Romulan battleship’s punch.
How to get the Legionary
Building the Legionary needs 80 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 26. With the blueprints collected and the shipyard in place, the build costs 1,300,000 Tritanium, 500 units of 3-star Gemeinsame Refined Ore, and 30,000 Dilithium, and it takes 12 days and 22 hours to complete. Where the blueprints come from changes with in-game events and store rotations, so check what is currently offering Legionary blueprints before you commit resources to it.
Legionary ability
The Legionary’s ship ability is Federation Killer. It raises the ship’s weapon damage against Federation ships by 30% at level 1, climbing to 120% at level 45. Ship abilities like this are always active, so the bonus applies the moment you target a Federation hull. That makes the Legionary a natural pick for Föderationsfraktion hostiles and for hitting Federation players, where the extra weapon damage stacks on top of your normal loadout.
Legionary active ability
The Legionary can also cloak. Ship Cloaking is a player-triggered ability: you switch it on and the ship stays hidden until the cloak’s timer runs out, you enter combat, you begin mining, or you dock at a station. Cloaking is an unlock rather than a default, so you enable it through a refit (covered below). In practice, players use it to slip through contested space or hold a position in a system without showing up on the map.
Stats and tiers
These are base values from the current game Daten. Research, buffs, and officer bonuses raise them in play.
| Ebene | Warp (speed / range) | Impulse | Cargo (protected) | Shield HP | Hull HP | Health (displayed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2.5 / 24 | 85 | 10,000 (230) | 3,930 | 25,100 | 14,515 |
| 5 | 2.9 / 33 | 85 | 22,970 (280) | 3,930 | 49,525 | 26,727.5 |
| 9 | 3.3 / 50 | 85 | 60,000 (450) | 3,930 | 64,340 | 34,135 |
Weapons and firing pattern
Warm-up is the combat round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. The Legionary carries two energy weapons that fire every round and one heavy kinetic weapon that fires every third round. Federation Killer raises the damage of all three against Federation ships, and the kinetic weapon (weapon 3) lands the single biggest hit. Values below are at max tier.
| Waffe | Typ | Shots | Warm-up | Cool-down | Damage | Crit chance | Crit damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Energie | 1 | 1 | 1 | 6,217–7,599 | 10% | 150% |
| 2 | Energie | 1 | 1 | 1 | 6,217–7,599 | 10% | 150% |
| 3 | Kinetic | 1 | 3 | 3 | 26,112–31,915 | 5% | 125% |
Crew slots and officer bonus
The Legionary opens officer slots as it levels, from one slot at level 5 to a full bridge of five by level 40.
| Ship level | Officer slots |
|---|---|
| 5 | 1 |
| 10 | 2 |
| 20 | 3 |
| 30 | 4 |
| 40 | 5 |
The ship also boosts your Offiziere‘ own stats. Its attack, defense, and health bonuses climb the same ladder, so a single figure covers all three. The bonus steps up as your officers’ combined stat total grows.
| Amount | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 120 | 30% |
| 240 | 60% |
| 390 | 90% |
| 540 | 120% |
| 720 | 150% |
| 960 | 180% |
| 1,320 | 210% |
| 1,800 | 240% |
| 2,400 | 270% |
| 3,600 | 300% |
Legionary refits
Two refits unlock the Legionary’s extra abilities, and each is bought with ship shards. A cosmetic ship skin is also available for the Legionary if you want to change its look.
| Nachrüstung | What it does |
|---|---|
| Legionary Cloaking | Enables the ship’s cloak. Costs 60 shards to unlock. |
| Legionary Relentless Assault | Unlocks the Relentless Assault ability, which raises the ship’s base damage against hostiles and armadas. Requires a level 26 Armory and 60 shards, and the bonus grows as the ship tiers up. |
Crew for the Legionary
As a Battleship, the Legionary wants a bridge built around weapon damage and staying power against the enemy it is aimed at. Because its own ability already targets Federation ships, captains and officers that add weapon damage, critical hit chance, or critical damage get the most out of it, especially when you are farming Federation hostiles. For current best-in-slot picks, see the Officer Tier List, and remember that the strongest crews shift as new officers arrive and the meta moves.
The Legionary in Star Trek
The Legionary is a design original to Star Trek Fleet Befehl rather than a ship from the shows or films. In the game’s own history, the class entered production on Romulus in the early 2100s and ran on an early forced quantum singularity engine, the power source that later became standard across the Romulan fleet. Parts of its design fed into the Augur class, which took over as Romulus’ main Battleship. The Legionary faded from front-line use, then returned as tensions rose across the galaxy, valued as a support ship. There is no screen canon to draw on, so its story lives entirely in the game.
Is the Legionary worth it?
For a grade 3 Ungewöhnlich hull, the Legionary earns its keep against Federation targets, where Federation Killer turns it into a focused damage dealer, and its cloak adds map utility that most early ships lack. It reads as a solid mid-game battleship rather than a long-term keeper. It can be scrapped from Betrieb level 34, so many players eventually break it down for parts once stronger Romulan hulls come online. Chase it if you spend real time fighting in Federation space.
