Im Namen der Liebe

In the Name of Love is a level 12 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you return a precious artifact, the Pleasure Crystal, to its people. It is picked up in Bellas, needs warp 8 to start and warp 10 to complete, and takes you through Orion, Rigel and Risa before bringing you back to Bellas. There are two combat steps: a Pakled ship in Orion and three level 12 or higher hostiles. The reward is 8,000 Parsteel and 200 Dilithium, modest for nine objectives.

In the Name of Love objectives

There are nine objectives and no choice split:

  • Answer the call. Location: Bellas.
  • Go to Orion. Location: Orion.
  • Konfrontieren Sie die Paketdieb. Location: Orion.
  • Defeat the Pakled Ship. Location: Orion. Enemy strength is roughly 2,935.
  • Find the Nausicaans. Location: Rigel.
  • Defeat 3 Hostile Ships of Level 12 Or Higher.
  • Retrieve the Pleasure Kristall from Risa. Location: Risa.
  • Return the Pleasure Crystal to the Bellas System. Location: Bellas.
  • Return the Pleasure Crystal to the Kh’Orrazzon. Location: Bellas.

The story follows the crystal from hand to hand. After answering the call in Bellas, you track a Pakled thief to Orion, confront him and destroy his ship. The trail then leads to the Nausicaans in Rigel, followed by an objective to defeat three hostile ships of level 12 or higher. The crystal itself turns up in Risa, and the last two steps return it to Bellas and to the Kh’Orrazzon.

Wo und welcher Warp

In the Name of Love is picked up in Bellas. It needs warp 8 to start and warp 10 to complete, so you need 2 more warp to finish than to accept it. The route runs Bellas, Orion, Rigel, Risa and back to Bellas. The recommended level is 12.

Tips

Bring a combat ship. The Pakled ship at roughly 2,935 strength is light, but the three level 12 or higher hostiles that follow are a separate objective, and the mission data gives no system for them. A ship that can handle level 12 hostiles covers both.

Check your range against warp 10. The mission can be accepted at warp 8, but finishing needs warp 10, and the route touches four different systems before it ends.

Expect a long trip for a small payout. Nine objectives across four systems for 8,000 Parsteel and 200 Dilithium is a lot of flying. It is worth doing for completeness or while you are already working in these systems, less so as a dedicated resource run.
