Homefield is a short early mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you take the fight to hostile forces in their own system. It is recommended for level 9, needs warp 5 to start and to complete, and is picked up in Grenfil or Whinnul. The only objective is to defeat 5 hostile ships of level 8 or higher, and the reward is 50 Premium Recruit Tokens. For such a small job, that is a good early source of recruit tokens.

Homefield objectives

Es gibt ein Ziel und keine Verzweigung:

  • Defeat 5 hostile ships of Level 8 or higher.

No system is attached to the objective, so any five hostiles of level 8 or above count toward it, wherever you fight them. There is no named boss and no return step.

Wo und welcher Warp

The game lists two pickup systems, Grenfil and Whinnul, and the mission needs warp 5 to start and complete.

The recommended level is 9. Level 8 hostiles are a light challenge for a ship at that level, so the mission comes down to finding five of them.

Homefield rewards

Belohnung Amount
Premium Recruit Token 50

The game Daten lists no next mission unlocked by Homefield.

Premium Recruit Tokens go toward officer recruitment, and 50 of them this early is a useful start on your first pulls.

How it compares with other early missions

Mission Ebene Warp zum Abschließen Task Main rewards
The Cavalry 5 5 Disable a Slaver ship, about 428 1,900 Parsteel, 160 Officer XP
Korsar 9 5 Defeat the Corsair Leader, about 1,927 5 1★ Survey Parts
Homefield 9 5 5 hostiles of level 8 or higher 50 Premium Recruit Tokens
Bezahlte Schulden 13 8 Destroy Prohk’s fleet, about 2,935 1,000 Officer XP, 300 Tritanium, 1 Orion Manifest

Homefield is the only mission in this group without a named enemy. It is also the only one that pays recruit tokens. Corsair matches it on level and warp, so the two make a natural pair.

Paid Debts ends in Grenfil, one of Homefield’s pickup systems. If you run Paid Debts first, you finish right where Homefield can be picked up.

How the hostile count works here

The objective asks for level 8 or higher, so stronger hostiles count too. If you have already moved into systems with level 10 or 12 hostiles, you can finish Homefield there without going back to weaker targets. The same is true of the early combat training missions, which also count any hostile at or above their listed level; Kampftraining 6: Soldat is one example.

Tips

Let it complete alongside other work. Five level 8 hostiles fall quickly, and any system with suitable targets will do.

Save the Premium Recruit Tokens until you have enough for a meaningful set of pulls rather than spending them in small amounts. Other missions sorted by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
