Splintered is a Klingon story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you take on the Corvallen captains holding the Neutral Zone for the Tal Shiar. You pick it up in Gorath, it needs warp 39 to start and warp 40 to complete, and the core is three fights of about 900,000 strength in Nibiq. After that you transport Gorn troops and deliver Corvallen captives to Rura Penthe. The reward is 1,050,000 Dilithium, 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens, 500 Klingon Credits and 100,000 Klingon Points, and it unlocks Instinct.
Splintered objectives
The story line reads: dispatch the Corvallen Captains left to maintain a stranglehold on the Neutral Zone in the name of the Tal Shiar. There are six objectives and no choice split:
- Prepare for combat in the Nibiq system. Location: Nibiq.
- Destroy the Corvallen Garrison Leader. Location: Nibiq. Enemy strength about 902,683.
- Destroy the lead Corvallen Interceptor. Location: Nibiq. Enemy strength about 937,932.
- Destroy the Corvallen Battleship. Location: Nibiq. Enemy strength about 902,683.
- Transport the Gorn troops to the surface of Vasunim. Location: Terminimurus.
- Take the Corvallen captives to Rura Penthe. Location: Beta Penthe.
The first half is a run of three Corvallen fights in Nibiq. The second half is transport: Gorn troops to Vasunim in Terminimurus, then the captives to Rura Penthe in Beta Penthe.

The pickup system is Gorath. The mission needs warp 39 to start and warp 40 to complete, so the range barely changes once you accept it.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. The real requirements are warp 39 and a ship that can win three fights near 900,000 strength.

How it compares with Instinct
Instinct, the next mission, needs warp 38 to complete and pays 859,000 Dilithium, 500 Klingon Credits and 100,000 Klingon Points. Splintered pays slightly more Dilithium and adds the 500 Klingon Recruit Tokens, so it is the richer of the two. Together they bring about 1.9 million Dilithium and 200,000 Klingon Points.
Tips
Repair before Nibiq. The three Corvallen fights come back to back, with the lead Corvallen Interceptor the strongest at about 938,000.
The transport steps after the fights have no hostiles listed, so once the Corvallen Battleship is down you can finish on a damaged ship.
