Hostage Crisis is an early story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you retrieve members of the Enterprise crew kidnapped by the Orion Syndicate. You locate the Orion slave ship in the Zukerat system, clear five hostile ships there and defeat the Orion Boss. It is recommended for level 5, starts at warp 1 and needs warp 5 to complete. The reward is 2,400 Parsteel and 120 Tritanium, and it continues the Enterprise rescue storyline.

Hostage Crisis objectives

There are three objectives, all in Zukerat, and no choice split:

  • Locate the Orion Slave ship in the Zukerat system. Location: Zukerat.
  • Defeat 5 hostile ships in the Zukerat system.
  • Defeat the Orion Boss. Location: Zukerat (enemy strength about 344).

After finding the slave ship, you need five hostile kills inside Zukerat. Unlike later Missionen with open hostile counts, this one is tied to the system, so kills elsewhere will not count. The Orion Boss, at roughly 344 strength, is the final fight and ends the mission.

Wo und welcher Warp

Hostage Crisis has no pickup system. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 5 to complete, since everything happens in Zukerat.

The recommended level is 5, up one from the mission before it.

Hostage Crisis rewards

Belohnung Amount
Parsteel 2,400
Tritanium 120

Completing the mission unlocks the next one in the chain.

Hostage Crisis in the Enterprise rescue storyline

Hostage Crisis follows Keiner wird zurückgelassen, where the Enterprise needs help retrieving a stranded away team. It leads into The Cavalry, where you rescue the missing crew before they are sold to slavers.

Mission Recommended level Warp zum Abschließen Belohnungen
Keiner wird zurückgelassen 4 5 1 Grace Chen shard, 20 Recruit Tokens
Geiseldrama 5 5 2,400 Parsteel, 120 Tritanium
The Cavalry 5 5 1,900 Parsteel, 160 Officer XP

All three missions share warp 5, so a ship that finished No One Gets Left Behind can carry straight on through Hostage Crisis and The Cavalry.

Tips

Stay in Zukerat for the kill count. The objective asks for five hostile ships in that system specifically, so do not wander off to hunt elsewhere.

The Orion Boss is a small fight at about 344 strength. If your ship is damaged after the five kills, a quick repair is enough before you finish the mission.

Keep going once it is done. The Cavalry picks up the story straight away, and the rewards across this short run help early station upgrades. For every early mission sorted by level, see the STFC mission guide.
