Fragments of the Whole is a Star Trek Fleet Command story mission about extracting the memories from Maia. It lists a recommended level of 1 and starts at warp 1, but it needs warp 160 to finish, and it asks for a 10 million Dilithium donation along the way. The reward is 26 4★ Seltene Refined Crystal and 100 4★ Ungewöhnlich Refined Crystal, and it unlocks the next mission in the storyline. There are four objectives, with no choice split:
- Go to the Engineer’s base. Location: LSP-539.
- Donate 10M Dilithium.
- Try to reach the colony. Location: Vehla.
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.
The mission opens with a trip to the Engineer’s base in LSP-539. The second step is the donation, and it is the expensive part: 10 million Dilithium handed over in one go. After that you head to Vehla to try to reach the colony, and the mission closes when your ship returns to your station.
There is no combat objective. Every step is travel, the donation or the return home.

Warp is 1 to start and 160 to complete. The two named systems are LSP-539 and Vehla, and warp 160 is the figure that covers both.
The listed recommended level is 1, which says little about when you can finish it. The warp 160 requirement and the 10M Dilithium donation are the two real gates, and both point to a late-game ship and stockpile.

Completing the mission also unlocks the next mission in the storyline, Everything, Now.
Both rewards are 4★ refined crystal, a single resource type in two grades. There are no officer shards, ship parts or other currencies in the payout.
Tips
Stockpile the Dilithium first. The donation is the second objective, right after you reach LSP-539, so having 10 million Dilithium on hand before you start avoids a stalled mission sitting at the Engineer’s base.
Plan the route around warp 160. LSP-539 and Vehla both have to be reached before you can return home, so the ship you send needs that range for the whole trip.
Any ship that can make the jumps will do. Since nothing in the mission is a fight, you can keep your main combat ship on other work and send whichever long-range ship you have.
Weigh the Dilithium against the crystal. The 126 refined crystal in total is a solid payout of a resource that is slow to build up, and it also moves the storyline forward, so most players at this warp range will want to finish it.
