Faustian Bargain is a level 25 story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you strike a morally dubious deal with the Orion Syndicate in exchange for Cybernetic Fragments. You meet the Syndikat on Orion Prime, intercept their target in Hann, and then choose whether to destroy the target or let it escape. It needs warp 19 to complete. Both paths pay 100 Cybernetic Fragments; destroying the target adds 187,000 Tritanium, while letting it go adds 160 3★ Battleship Parts. It unlocks Swift Reprisal.
Faustian Bargain objectives
Every player starts the same way:
- Treffen mit das Orion Syndicate on Orion Prime. Location: Orion.
- Intercept the target in Hann. Location: Hann.
- Choose how to deal with the target. This is the choice split.
Destroy the target
- Destroy the target. Location: Hann. Enemy strength is roughly 54,559.
- Report back to the Orion Syndicate on Orion Prime. Location: Orion.
Rewards for this path: 187,000 Tritanium and 100 Cybernetic Fragments.
Allow the target to escape
- Escort the target to a safe location on Zopal. Location: Durchman.
- Report back to the Orion Syndicate on Orion Prime. Location: Orion.
Rewards for this path: 160 3★ Battleship Parts and 100 Cybernetic Fragments.
The destroy path has a fight in Hann at about 54,600 strength. The escape path has no listed fight; instead you escort the target to Zopal in Durchman. Both end with a report back on Orion Prime.
Wo und welcher Warp
There is no pickup system and the mission can be accepted from warp 1. Completing it needs warp 19 for Orion, Hann and, on the escape path, Durchman. The recommended level is 25.
Faustian Bargain rewards
| Choice | Fight | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|
| Destroy the target | Target, about 54,559 | 187,000 Tritanium, 100 Cybernetic Fragments |
| Allow the target to escape | Keine | 160 3★ Battleship Parts, 100 Cybernetic Fragments |
Either choice unlocks the next mission, Rasche Vergeltungsmaßnahme.
Where it sits in the Cybernetic Fragments story
| Mission | Warp zum Abschließen | Fights and costs | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unbefugter | 18 | 10 hostiles of level 25+, Utrok (about 43,849) | 678,000 Parsteel, 5 8 Hour Speed Ups |
| Faustischer Pakt | 19 | Target (about 54,559) on one path only | 100 Cybernetic Fragments plus Tritanium or Battleship Parts |
| Rasche Vergeltungsmaßnahme | 17 | Quinton (about 55,452), hand over 100 Cybernetic Fragments | 34 3★ Ungewöhnlich Raffiniertes Erz |
The fragments from this mission have a job waiting. Swift Reprisal asks you to hand over exactly 100 Cybernetic Fragments to Dalen on Qualor IX, the same amount this mission pays on either path.
Tips
Do not spend the 100 Cybernetic Fragments. Swift Reprisal needs them straight after, and this mission is where they come from.
Pick your path by resource. Tritanium players should destroy the target; anyone upgrading a battleship may prefer the 160 3★ Battleship Parts, and that path also avoids the fight.
If you destroy the target, be ready for Quinton in Swift Reprisal at a similar strength. Its story is about dealing with the consequences of attacking a Föderation target.
Previous mission: Trespasser. Next mission: Swift Reprisal. More missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
