A Particular Set of Skills is a level 25 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you work to thin out Tilly’s mercenary force. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 17 to finish, with every system objective in Babishta. You donate 500,000 Parsteel, then decide whether to share your explosives with a mercenary. Sharing skips the fight and pays more Parsteel and speed ups; refusing means a fight and pays peace shields and repair speed ups.

Path 1: share the explosives
- Pick up the explosives. Location: Babishta.
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.
Rewards for this path: 552,000 Parsteel, 82,000 Tritanium, 30 1 Hour Speed Ups and 11 Latinum.
Path 2: refuse
- Defeat the rival merc. Location: Babishta. Enemy strength is roughly 131,625.
- Pick up the explosives. Location: Babishta.
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrem Bahnhof zurück.
Rewards for this path: 91,000 Tritanium, 22 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups, 9 3★ Ungewöhnlich Refined Ore and 2 4 Hr Peace Shields.

A Particular Set of Skills has no named pickup system and can be picked up at warp 1. Completing it takes warp 17, the range you need for Babishta. The recommended level is 25.
If you take Path 2, the rival merc at about 131,625 strength is the only fight. Path 1 has no combat at all.

Welchen Weg du wählen solltest
Path 1 is the stronger payout for most players. It returns 552,000 Parsteel, which more than covers the 500,000 Parsteel donation, and 30 1 Hour Speed Ups are worth a lot of building and research time. It also skips the fight.
Path 2 suits players in active PvP areas. Two 4 Hr Peace Shields give you eight hours of protection between them, and the repair speed ups and refined ore are useful, but you give up the Parsteel refund and the hour-long speed ups to get them.

All three share a recommended level of 25 and fights in the 130,000 range. Proceed with Caution also asks for twelve level 23+ hostile kills, so a ship that handles this mission’s merc is ready for it.
Tips
Have the 500,000 Parsteel ready before you travel. The donation comes right after meeting Kai, and it blocks the rest of the mission.
Take Path 1 unless you need shields. The Parsteel comes back with interest and the speed ups are the most flexible reward on offer.
