Hijacked D3 Abfangjägerschiff

The Hijacked D3 Class is a grade 3 Uncommon Klingon Interceptor that unlocks at Shipyard level 26. It is built around one job: hitting Romulanische Schiffe harder than a hull of its size normally would. Its Romulan Crusher ability raises weapon damage against Romulan targets, and as an Interceptor it already holds the hull advantage over Explorers. For a mid-game commander who fights Romulan hostiles or players, it earns its slot; as a general-purpose ship it is more ordinary.

How to get the Hijacked D3 Class

The Hijacked D3 needs 80 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 26 before you can build it. The build cost is 500 3★ Common Refined Kristall, 1,150,000 Tritanium, 200 Common Plutonium, and 38,500 Dilithium, and construction takes 12 days and 22 hours.

The D3 belongs to the Erweitern Sie line of Hijacked ships alongside the Hijacked Mayflower and the Legionary. Its blueprints are unlocked through Augment Credits, the standing way to collect these hulls once you reach the level where they become available. Plan the Tritanium and Dilithium outlay before you start, since a near 13-day build ties up your shipyard for a long stretch. If you are collecting the Augment hulls, it helps to bank the crystal and dilithium ahead of time so the build kicks off the moment you have the blueprints.

Hijacked D3 Class ability

The ship ability is Romulan Crusher. It increases the D3’s weapon damage against Romulan ships, starting at 30% at ship level 1 and climbing to 120% at level 45. Like all ship abilities, it stays active with no trigger to manage.

The catch is in the wording. The bonus applies only against Romulan targets. Fighting Föderation or Klingon ships, the D3 performs like any other grade 3 Interceptor. Point it at Romulan hostiles or Romulan-faction players and the extra damage does real work, especially once the ability has scaled past the mid ship levels. As an Interceptor, the D3 also carries the built-in edge against Explorer-class ships in the combat triangle, so a Romulan survey or mining hull is a natural target for it.

Stats and tiers

Base values below come from the current game data; research, buffs, and Offiziere raise them in play.

Ebene Warp (speed / range) Impulse Cargo (protected) Shield HP Hull HP Health (displayed)
Stufe 1 2.5 / 24 115 10,000 (230) 5,460 5,460 5,460
Stufe 5 2.9 / 33 115 22,970 (280) 5,460 5,460 5,460
Stufe 9 3.3 / 50 115 60,000 (450) 5,460 5,460 5,460

The hull and shield numbers stay flat across tiers, so tiering the D3 up mainly buys you warp range and cargo room rather than more survivability. Its staying power in a fight comes from its dodge and armor growth and from the crew you put aboard.

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the combat round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. The values below are at max tier 9.

Waffe Typ Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Waffe 1 Kinetic 2 1 2 11,756–14,369 15% 110%
Waffe 2 Kinetic 2 2 2 11,756–14,369 15% 110%

Both weapons are kinetic, which is exactly what the Romulan Crusher bonus multiplies. That makes the D3 a direct damage dealer once you are inside a Romulan fight, with the first gun opening on round one and the second joining on round two.

The ship also lifts your officers’ stats as it levels. Its attack, defense, and health bonuses to officers all climb on the same ladder, so one figure covers all three. The bonus grows with the total officer stat value you bring aboard.

Crew for the Hijacked D3 Class

An Interceptor with kinetic guns and a damage-boosting ability wants a bridge that pushes weapon damage and critical hits, so the anti-Romulan bonus and the ship’s own guns build on each other. Because the D3’s edge shows up only against Romulan ships, a captain whose ability rewards attacking or lands extra hits suits its temperament well.

The Hijacked D3 Class in Star Trek

The D3 is a Klingon cruiser design rather than a ship with a large on-screen history, so most of its story lives inside the game. In Star Trek Fleet Befehl, the D3 is an older Klingon vessel once written off as obsolete, then refitted and repurposed by the Augments into something far more dangerous. The game leans on the Augments’ grudging respect for Klingon Technik: they found little elegance in the design, but they could not ignore how much raw utility the Klingons had built into it. That framing, an obsolete ship given a second life, doubles as the Augments’ own view of finding themselves stranded in a new age.

Is the Hijacked D3 Class worth it?

As a grade 3 Ungewöhnlich, the D3 is a mid-game ship, and its value is narrow but real. If your day-to-day involves Romulan hostiles or Romulan players, the Romulan Crusher bonus turns an average Interceptor into a specialist that punches above its grade. If you rarely face Romulan targets, a general-purpose hull of the same grade will serve you better. Chase it if you want the Augment collection or a dedicated Romulan hunter for your mid-game roster.
