Crime and Punishment is a four-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which you investigate a murder, build a defence for the accused, Paxa, and then argue his case in court in Xorallen. The last two parts are courtroom choices where you pick which piece of evidence to object with. Every part is recommended for level 79 and needs warp 5,500 to complete, and the chain is picked up in Nos’Ons. It pays 7,107,000 7★ Rohkristall, 3,814,000 7★ Raw Ore, 500 Federation Recruit Tokens, 5,100 Σ-Federation Credits and 126.4 billion Federation Points. It has only one fight, but the Part 3 objection decides whether you can finish it.

Every part pays 31.6 billion Federation Points and 1 Gravimetric Data, and every part takes away 17.4 billion Romulanisch Points and 37 billion Klingon Points. Parts 1 and 2 open the next part when you finish them; Part 3 is different, as explained below.
Crime and Punishment Part 1
There has been a murder. Gessa briefs you in Modahri, you speak to the suspect in Xorallen, and the crime scene in Quanabia gives you the chain’s only fight before you scan for evidence.

Crime and Punishment Part 2
Now you build the case for the defence. Paxa is held in Xorallen, his partner is in Vanarsei, and a return to the apartment in Quanabia ends with a bribe to the landlord.

Crime and Punishment Part 3
The trial begins. After speaking to Paxa you go to court in Xorallen, and the prosecution’s autopsy report is the target. You pick one piece of evidence to object with.

The blood splatter
You argue the blood at the scene was too little for a stab to the heart. The prosecution shows it was consistent with a fatal wound, and the court dismisses the objection.

The murder weapon
You point out that the four-inch blade was too short to leave the exit wounds in the autopsy, and the court accepts the point.

The victim’s location
You suggest the victim was killed elsewhere and moved, but there is no sign of that, and the court dismisses the objection.

Crime and Punishment Part 4
The goal is to exonerate Paxa. You speak to him again, go back to court in Xorallen and present a second objection. All three answers pay the same.

The victim was drinking
You argue the victim being drunk makes no sense because Paxa never drinks. The court is not persuaded, and Paxa is later found guilty.
The invitation the victim received
You claim there is no proof Paxa sent the invitation, but the prosecution has a signed copy, and the court rules the point moot.
The investigators breaking down the door
You show the lock had been broken for months, so anyone who knew about it, the landlord included, could have entered the apartment. The court agrees, and Paxa is later found not guilty.

Tips for completing Crime and Punishment
The Part 3 objection matters more than any fight in this chain. The game attaches the Part 4 unlock only to the murder weapon, and the blood splatter pays 110 7★ Broken Survey Parts instead of 341,000. Pick the murder weapon if you want the full chain and the full reward.
In Part 4 every objection pays the same rewards, but only the broken door ends with Paxa found not guilty. Pick it if you want Paxa cleared.
Combat is limited to one scavenger in Quanabia at about 405 trillion strength. The rest is travel between Modahri, Xorallen, Quanabia and Vanarsei at warp 5,500, and a bribe in Part 2.

For Federation players, yes. With the murder weapon in Part 3, the chain pays 500 Federation Recruit Tokens, 5,100 Σ-Federation Credits, 7,107,000 7★ Raw Crystal, 3,814,000 7★ Raw Ore, 200,000 Σ-Tritanium, 126,000 Σ-Dilithium, about 1.2 million 7★ broken ship parts and 4 Gravimetric Data for a single fight.
