Combat Strategy 102 is a three-part mission chain that continues the combat training of the U.S.S. Athena cadets. It starts as another lesson, with a cadet of your choice taking the conn, but a distress signal leads to an ambush and the cadets are captured along with the Athena. All three parts are recommended for level 61, start at warp 1 and need warp 900 to complete. Rewards include 149,000 6★ Broken Interceptor Parts, 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens and 125 Officer Laurels. The villain behind the ambush is Deidamia, whose cronies you fight in the finale.

Combat Strategy 102 Part 1
This part builds on the cadets’ combat training. After a debrief with the Chancellor, you choose which cadet takes the conn for a harder Holodeck run and a field exercise in Itraneia.

Next you investigate a signal. The cadets want to answer a distress call despite the risk of another trap, and it turns out to be exactly that: the Athena is disabled and taken, cadets and all.
- Follow the distress signal, in Zehux.
- Defend yourself, in Zehux (enemy strength ~2,643,533,500).
- Defeat 5 hostiles of level 61 or higher.
- Give chase, in Vucinich.
- Report back to the Chancellor.

Now you find the cadets before it’s too late. They have left a trail of status pings from the Athena’s comms system, and you follow it to the ship.
- Follow the breadcrumbs, in Gratia-3.
- Conduct a sweep, in Gratia-3.
- Find the U.S.S. Athena, in Cualonor.
- Defeat Deidamia’s cronies, in Cualonor (enemy strength ~2,643,533,500).
- Open a line of communication, in Cualonor.
- Expel 400 Σ-Dilithium to neutralize the shields.
- Send a boarding party, in Cualonor.
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.

Tips for completing Combat Strategy 102
Part 1 includes surviving four rounds of Duo Wave Defense near Itraneia before the drone fight. Plan for that step, because it is a separate activity from the usual travel and combat objectives.
At the conn choice, pick by refined material: Caleb pays 6★ Gemeinsame Refined Ore, Darem pays 6★ Common Refined Gas and Genesis pays 6★ Common Refined Crystal. The objectives and the other rewards do not change.
Parts 2 and 3 each have a fight at roughly 2,643,533,500 strength, in Zehux and Cualonor. Keep 400 Σ-Dilithium ready for Part 3, where it is needed to drop the Athena’s shields before the boarding party.
