Cardassianische Miliz

The Cardassian Militia is a neutral Battleship hostile in Star Trek Fleet Command, roaming levels 29 to 33 in the Amok’tal, Korok, and Sintek systems. It drops Parsteel and Dilithium, the two base resources you spend fastest in the early and mid game. Because it only spawns as a Battleship, an Interceptor is the ship to bring against it. Match its warp 25 requirement and it falls quickly.

How to beat the Cardassian Militia

The Cardassian Militia appears only as a Battleship, so you do not need to think about the full hull-counter triangle here. Schlachtschiffe are countered by Interceptors, so bring an Interceptor and you hold the advantage at every level from 29 to 33. Nothing changes as you move up the level band, so there is no need to swap ship class between spawns. The counter hull matters because the game gives the countering ship a damage and mitigation edge, which is what shortens the fight and keeps your repair bills low on a farm.

All three of its systems are neutral space, so killing the Cardassian Militia costs you no faction reputation. That makes it a safe grind target: you can sit on it for as long as you like without upsetting your standing with the Federation, Klingonen, or Romulans.

Crew for damage. A captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles, paired with Offiziere that add attack or mitigation, clears these fast. If you are still early in the game, the cadet crew of Cadet Kirk as captain with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura is a cheap and reliable option at these levels. Crews shift with the meta, so check the Officer Tier List for the current best picks before you commit shards to an upgrade.

Where to find the Cardassian Militia

The Cardassian Militia clusters in a small pocket of neutral space and does not spread far. All of its spawns sit at warp 25, so once your ship and drydock can reach that range you can farm the full level band from one staging point without long jumps between kills. It appears across the same three systems for the whole 29 to 33 range, which keeps the grind tight: park near a spawn, clear it, and let the next one respawn rather than chasing targets across the map.

Rewards and what it drops

The Cardassian Militia is a resource target rather than a parts farm. Every kill returns Parsteel and Dilithium, so it works well when you are topping up base currencies to finish a building or research project. Parsteel is the material that gobbles up your storage on most station upgrades, and Dilithium gates ship builds and tier-ups, so both stay in demand well past the level where you outgrow these spawns. Ship XP climbs steadily with level, from 487 at level 29 to 627 at level 33, so higher spawns also help level a new ship a little faster while you farm.

Ablegen What it is
Parsteel The core building material for station upgrades. You drop 317 to 544 per kill.
Dilithium The currency for ship builds, research, and tier-ups. You drop 81 to 131 per kill.

Cardassian Militia stats

Stats climb steeply with level, so the level 33 spawn hits far harder than the level 29 one. The rows below anchor the low, mid, and high ends of the band.

29 131,815 33,000 24,750 50,440 52,500 487
31 201,317 42,000 31,500 82,067 82,500 555

Cardassian Militia firing pattern

The Cardassian Militia fires two weapon groups. Its energy weapons chip away every round, while its single kinetic weapon fires every other round but lands the heaviest hit by far. Time your shield or hull repairs around that kinetic swing, since it can spike your incoming damage on the rounds it fires.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energie 2 7,200–8,800 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 1 17,280–21,120 Every other round 10% (1.5x)

The Cardassians in Star Trek

The Cardassians are a militaristic species from the planet Cardassia Prime, best known from Deep Space Nine. After stripping their own homeworld of resources, they turned to conquest, most infamously in the decades-long occupation of Bajor. Power sits with the Central Befehl and the feared Obsidian Order, their intelligence service. Cardassian society prizes duty, family, and the state above the individual, and their officers are known for patience and cold calculation. In Star Trek Fleet Command their militia ships carry that reputation into neutral space as steady, disciplined patrol targets.

Is the Cardassian Militia worth grinding?

It is worth it when you need Parsteel and Dilithium in bulk and want a soft target you can clear on repeat. There are no parts or blueprints here, so it is not a progression farm, but the steady resource payout and rising ship XP make it a useful stop in the level 29 to 33 range. Match warp 25 and bring an Interceptor, and you can farm it with little risk.
